    As long as it's OK with Pruitt and his weather...bastard, instead of doing my 100th jump with my friends last weekend, I ended up doing it solo down in Sebastian on Thursday...but at least I didn't get pied.

    Many thanks to all at Skydive Sebastian for an experience I will never forget!!! My 100th jump was awesome! The view of the coast was the very best I've ever seen. I'll be back down there for sure very soon.

    I don't have many jumps, but, my very first pack job hit me so F-ing hard that I could barely breath for the remainder of the canopy ride. Was probably line dump from bad body position, but I suspected the slider was positioned improperly. I got alot of people to show me their packing methods for slowing down openings and spoke at length to Kolla at PD. They all said, the slider is the most important thing to pay attention to in regulating the speed of the openings. Not only must it be seated firmly against the slider stops and quartered evenly, but make sure the center of the slider is pushed as far down inside your pack job as possible. Roll the nose 4 and 4 on a Sabre and pay attention to the slider, it'll open like a Spectre.

    Sounds pretty good...that's my birthday weekend and I can't think of a better way to spend it. Any chance there will be a "novice/how many jumps does he have???/seriously at risk" division in the swoop contest?

    Kelly's going to be too busy at the MOFO to teach the canopy course becuase he needs you to get the rest of his birdman training completed...
