Thanks for the advise. I hadn't even thought of talking about it again in a few days but I'm sure it will help. We have always been very close and I have had to play dual roles as part time mom and sis. I have always made it clear that if he needs to talk about anything that I will try my hardest not to be angry or to judge him and to answer his questions with complete honesty. For my little brother!!! I am very happy that he trusted me and felt comfortable enough to ask me about sex and condoms. However, I was completely freaking out in my head! WTF?!?! I used to change his diapers and now he thinks he is ready for sex?! I gave him the typical speech, that I hoped he would wait until he was a bit older and the responsibilities that come with having sex. But really, I might as well have been talking another language to this teenage boy amped up on uber doses of hormones. I ended up cutting short the lecture and buying him a box of condoms. I have not quit, I'm just taking a break. I have decided not to sell my gear, I worked too hard to get it in the first place and I don't know that I would be able to replace it. Jumping is something that gives me great joy and I'm not willing to give that up. However, it has caused some stress in my life so I decided to take a bit of time away from it to have a better look at things. My advise would be that if you're going to be away for more than a year then sell the gear. If it's just a time out, for a few months, then hang on to it. To answer your question, no, I am not happy being out of the sky and away from the dz. For a while it was such a huge part of my life and now I definately feel the void that not jumping has left. Oh relax, shit happens. I started going gray (I prefer to call it silver) at about 15. Now I have a "silver" streak in my hair similar to Rogue on X-men and a few renegade strands sprinkled throughout my hair. I used to dye it but then decided that it wasn't so bad. Ideally, I would want a man to tell me that he loved me when we just finished a day long strenuous hike, where my hair is pulled back, I'm sweaty and smelly, I have a blister on my foot the size of a quater, and my stomach is growling so loudly that it would scare a wolf. Then, I would know he truly meant it. The word "love" is thrown around so much now that when it is said to me I take it with a grain of salt. Actions speak louder than words. I try to make choices and to live my life so that I will be satisfied with the person I am and the decisions that I have made. Along the way I have been hurt, faced some tough decisions, and delt with a few regrets. I am a work in progress. I wouldn't change a thing though.
