I'm thinking OVERALL the small reserve would completely open quicker but the larger reserve would slow you down faster. When all is said and done they should be flying steady at the same altitude. It would just take the bigger canopy more time to get there?? I tried :) Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!!

Not really any room to argue on this one.. But my observations on the Triathlon and Diablo are right on.. Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!!

I think I would grab him and give the main a shot. If it worked I would head for water and go in in breaks. If there was water anywhere around. I'd probably tell him to let go at 20 feet or so.. If the main blew out.. I would probably have to let him go.. Hard to say.. Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!!

What about the Xaos?? At 310 ish pounds that would be like loading it 3:1 or something.. Couldn't it take the opening shock?? Derek jumps a VX60 at more than 3:1.. How is that different? Rhino Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!!

What would you do? 14,000 feet in the air just having exited the aircraft. You and a buddy are pulling high and playing under canopy. He is to dump first then you. As he dumps you notice his chest strap not fastened as he is ejected from the harness. Now in freefall with your friend not wearing a rig. You are 175 out the door flying a Xaos98 loaded at 1.8. Your friend now weighs 140lbs without gear in freefall. You have a pd143 reserve. What would you do? The reason I ask this question is simple. I have caught 2 people ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PLANE with improperly routed OR NOT FASTENED chest straps. I make a point to check EVERYONE on the plane everytime I go up. What would you do????????? I've jumped the falcon also.. The Triathlon will slow down a bit more.. Get a little better penetration in the wind. Hold up in turbulence better "more solid" It has better low speed capabilities.. From my experience .... Rhino Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!!

1.3 should be super.. You at 1.45 SHOULD be o.k. But as usual with the Triathlon and the Diablo if you don't hit the sweet spot it tends to run out of juice a little quick.. I put 20 or so jumps on the 120Diablo before getting the 110.. The bottom end of the 120 was much more forgiving than the 110.. It made that much of a difference. You shouldn't have a problem with 1.45.. Maybe hone the sweetspot a little and come in with a slight carve if you don't already. That should do it. Rhino Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!!

I have the majority of my jumps on a Triathlon and a Diablo 7 cells.. They DO NOT snivel very often.. You have to SLOW THEM DOWN with packing technique.. Rhino Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!!
