Click on the Search Posts link near the top of this page and search on "Sabre hard opening". You'll find plenty of opinions on both sides of the fence.

Sunburn on Christmas Day does suck .

I've got a SonyEricsson W810i, and the camera is excellent in good lighting conditions. 2.0MP autofocus. Sucks in low-light, though they've definitely improved it over the K750i. If money wasn't an issue, I'd get a SonyEricsson K800i.

It's a very good price, but I'd be slightly concerned with the warranty which appears DOA-only, and with the fact that it's not branded. Caveat emptor, but if it's quality components it's an excellent deal.

You figure he should buy a JVX with sail material as a working jumper? Who's gonna pack the thing for him?

Yeah, 65F is terrible for the end of winter. Yesterday it was 70F .

Just got back from Friday lunch, and have been drinking Heineken. The Aussie-brewed stuff is ok, but not worth the premium you pay here. But, since it was free, I ain't exactly complaining. This evening might involve a nip of Woodford Reserve with dinner.

7:45 or so. Early start today...

Just renting. Mate of mine has been renting in the same place for 8 or 9 years, so we're not paying all that much.

Opening is the scary time. A hard opening bounces your chin off your chest, and the slider zipping down the lines pops a brake. You're seeing stars and the canopy is diving into spinning linetwists that you can't kick out. Your dytter flatlines and you're still having difficultly grasping your handles because you're dazed and the harness is distorted from the g-forces. You have a hard pull because you don't have hard housings in your risers and the ground's coming up real fast. Finally you chop and almost simultaneously punch out the reserve. Less than ten seconds later you've gotta land. Good luck. I'd prefer not to end up in that situation so I choose my gear, including my canopy, to help minimise the likelihood of it occurring.

I live in Drummoyne and work in Hunters Hill. Methinks you're mistaking the Gladesville Bridge for the Harbour Bridge.

I have a 20min walk to work. Took this panoramic photo this morning using the camera in my phone. In the distance is the Sydney CBD. Pic taken from here, looking East. And yes, I'm boasting .

Lovely. That would be damn nice

Wow I wish I would have had one of those for our MRE (mission readiness exercise) oh wait....no place to cool it down. Either way, wonder if they would ship to Iraq. Well that and...if I would actually be able to pull of wearing that under my uniform. Anyone here in the military have experience with these things? Do you know what LouDiamond does for a living?

Usually. If you ask for a briefing then, yes, they will.

That's nice. Please keep it that way

Sounds like you need some dazzle painting. Search for dazzle camouflage or razzle dazzle and you'll find some pretty cool ideas. Unfortunately, most of the photos are in B&W .
