Maybe someone can help me. I volunteer at a camp for kids with cancer and its next week. One of the themes is Double your fun and the costumes are supposed to be # oriented...like once upon a time, bakers dozen, 101 dalmations...that kind of stuff. I need a fun idea

I did my 100th jump yesterday and it was my first tracking dive

mine would have to be my first kiss pass from my boyfriend around jump 33 or so and it was out of a skyvan...that was a good weekend.

If anything I think I get more training and am more protected because I am a girl. I jump at two dz's and at both people watch out for me left and right. I have people checking my gear 4 and 5 times, giving me advice, making sure I am comfortable with the dives, etc. At the new dz ive been jumping at I joke about how everyone there, especially the guys, treat me like I am their little sister. Maybe its because I'm a girl, maybe its because I am a small girl, who knows...but it's not a bad thing in my opinion. I hope when I have thousands of jumps I am still treated the same way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A life without a cause is a life without an effect

Does anyone else get "The Fear" at sub 1000ft?

Haha, and everyone laughed at me when I said this. The other day I did my first 13,000 hop n pop and my thinking was, dang, these straps are holding me for an awful long time...hope they can handle this. Now of course I knew this was silly thinking but still a thought. I do get the same under 1000 though because I load my canopy so lightly I feel every little bump on the way to the ground but when i took a canopy course he just reassured me that although I feel it, its usually nothing to worry about :) I just concenrate on landing it. Then again like someone else said I think it's good to have that fear because then you can think about what you would do in that situation instead of waiting for one to possibly surprise you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A life without a cause is a life without an effect -
the container I bought from a fellow dz.commer came in the mail today! It is the most wonderful feeling to have a piece of my very own gear sitting in my room right now!! Man I feel ya!! I am IN a wedding the saturday of SKYFEST in Texas...so that means I cant go out friday or saturday...and I will probably have to find a date since my boyfriend will want to jump at skyfest. And although I would love for him to be my date, there is no way I would force him or be mad at him for choosing the boogie instead (inside head thinking bitter thoughts about him jumping while im standing in a hot pink dress) hehe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A life without a cause is a life without an effect -
