Thank you!! I spent the weekend in the Black Hills! Didn't take my bike, but the trails we played on, she wouldn't like those. I'll post pics when I get home of the AMAZING displays of water and earth.

I did it because it's fun, I posted it because it's good work, and I argueD because some people are making stupid remarks. Violence, unfortunately, does have a place in our society. In some contexts, those bruises would be considered acceptable - lets say Angie and Brad go fight club on each other like in Mr. and Mrs Smith. As equals sparring or in a movie setting where you can step back and realize that it's fiction. But... as I said in my first post... I, unfortunately, have worked with too many women that looked like that for real. Too many women for whom those jokes aren't jokes. Jokes about how those actions are acceptable aren't that funny to me. I'm not trying to advocate a double standard. Women shouldn't beat their husbands. The Carrie Underwood song, Before He Cheats, is horrid. It's NOT ok to harm others just cuz you felt hurt or betrayed. People just need to be nice to each other (well.... unless you want to hire the services of other dz.commers ) But... back to the original pic. I really do think it looks very realistic. You did a good job with photoshop.

I love photoshop and you did an amazing job making that look realistic (love the blown pupil) - but some of the comments in this thread are very nauseating. I work with women all day... and it sickens me to see and deal with was some people truly consider acceptable. I have taken care of a woman 34wks pregnant that was pulled out of her car by her boyfriend and beaten, kicked and left on the side of the road.... I appreciate dark humor... but not when I put a REAL face to those bruises.

You going to do a birthday jump this weekend!!!! How wonderful! I wish that I would be there to jump too, but I will be up in the Black Hills stompin in the woods.

Are there any legal implications, either way? If so, would you let that influence your decision? I think here in the US, you would be covered by the Good Samaritian laws if you did try to help on the site, and you would have a defensible argument if you didn't by claiming that you were going for equipment and further assistance. It's sad that we have to think about that, but unfortunately.... we do. On the question of whether to land out or land safe and bring help, I think there are so very many variables in that situation. What was the incident and how injured do you think the other jumper is? How many jumps do you have and how many off landings? How do you deal with true emergencies? ("oh my god, oh my god, oh my god" won't be as helpful as support this and elevate that and keeping it cool.... and EVERYBODY thinks that they'll keep it cool) What true trauma knowledge do you have? What means to communicate with others do you have (do you carry a cell phone with you on jumps) There are some that I would want to land off with me.... there are others that should get help. It's not a slight against anyone, it's an understanding of all the variables.

OK... All ya'll. You might have some equipment, but do you have the knowledge? Stuff will cover you for a few weeks and months... but what if it really falls apart? Do you have "what it takes"? Connections Plants
