  1. HEY!!!! Soarin at Epcot was FUN! (*scratchin Douva off the list )
  2. It's not the guns that are dangerous.... Those scopes BITE! (stupid black powder types kick.... shoulda just stuck with the tommy.) edit: and to make matters worse.. none of the brave strong men there would use the dermabond or suture it at the range... so went and talked to one of my partners... HE wouldn't suture it (sure he can fix an episiotomy... but not a stitch or two on my face... arguing about seeing the bone.... ) but he was nice and introduced me to the ER doc that was nice enough to put 9 stitches (one deep, and 8 superficial).

If you get it locked... there will probably be even more people looking at it!
  4. I don't think so. Most American cars have automatic transmission. Many, many Americans cannot drive a car with a manual transmission. No serious car is built without a manual transmission, with the possible exception of F1 cars due to the human frailties of requiring a gear change a second for 2 odd hours. t For every day driving, I like to drive... I have a Tiburon with automatic (that I can "manually" shift as well. Sort of). I've owned her 4 months and have over 11k miles on her. But... when I drive on the track I LOVE to drive. But this is kinda off the Electric car thread... So back on it. The reason that I don't have electric or hybrid (cuz I did look at the options just 4 mos ago)... didn't care for the way they looked... not really sporty looking enough. And yeah... looks were on the list for car buying.
  5. I knew there was a reason that I thought you were cool!
  6. I'm calling BULLSHIT[/B] right here... and right now. I have no "hate" toward attractive women. Not on the level of competition or other catty attitudes. Do I "respect" her... don't know. Why? Cuz I don't KNOW her. Is she intellegent? Is she nice? Or does she think that she's better than me cuz all the guys tell her she is? My feeling toward her stem off of my interactions with her. Can I appreciate a nice trim figure? Or can I be jealous of her physique? Yeah... but that's more mood dependant and to be honest, I do sometimes sour the grapes, cuz I know that I could be fit and trim... but instead of running... here I am sittin on my tail at the computer. But on that note... I should go and run. one last comment though... the first pic.... she looked a bit young. Maybe 16 or 17.... some guys like that... but us older types can be fun too.
  7. Hey... I try. I've never said I'm a poet! Just easily amused.
  8. No need to be so preachy.... Choir here.... My mom never smoked - COPD. Three lil girls... we didn't make a personal decision when we were 4 or 5 ... I'm not "sheltering" the tobacco company. Just saying that my dad chose to smoke. My sister is now currently choosing to smoke (but since she just had a little girl... her decision is changing) I'm still holding firm. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. If I smoke, it's my fault. If I'm fat, it's my fault. If I'm ignorant, my fault. (ok... maybe ugly and poor have other variables) But overall... you have one shot at this life. Live it the way YOU want. Don't let outside factors take credit or blame for your life.
  9. Would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?
  10. So... jsut curious. was this during the marathon? Or just a sprint?
  11. OH NO!!!! What happened to break it's front forks?!
  12. OK..... better analogy. As I stated above, my stepdad has an addictive personality (I won't go into to full details out of respect for him) But he then contracted Lupus (rare in men, I know... but that aside). MAJOR PAIN ISSUES in his clinical situation with Lupus. So his doc started pain meds (my step dad didn't share his past at first.) BIG ISSUES then evolved. Should my family sue Purdue Frederick (makers of MS Contin)? NO! It's not the drug companys fault. Once my step dad acknowledged the issues... we got him the help he needed. I'm not saying addiction is good or that tobacco companies are entirely innocent in selling an addictive agent... but ultimately this is YOUR life. Live it the way YOU want. If that includes smoking even though your dad died of Lung cancer and your mom has COPD... go for it.... my sister is. Do I fault her? Do I fault the tobacco companies? Do I fault her doctor? She has the lion share here.... at least 90-95%.... why CUZ SHE KNOWS! And she's choosing not to quit. Would it be hard... HELL YEAH! But.... until she makes that CHOICE... nothing else really matters. But... it's her life, and if that's the way she wants to live.... It's not my place to preach.
  13. I still think PERSONAL responsibility is a bigger issue. There's way to much "It's not my fault...." in our current society. It's too easy to displace blame and not acknowledge your role in YOUR life. Winston Salem has NEVER come knocking on my door... I've tried a cig or two, I actually prefer cigars. But... I don't want to get lung cancer like my Dad did... so I limit it. Can others do the same, I don't know. But do they KNOW the right thing... yes. Many just want to look to another for their weaknesses. (and for the record, I'm not saying an addictive personality is a weakness - my stepdad has an addictive personality and with his Lupus and chronic pain... meds are an issue... BUT not acknowledging that you have one is.) Big business is trying to make money. You as an individual get to decide whether you give it to them or not.
  14. I would be getting it mainly to ride to Sturgis. Something I've always wanted to do. I would probably go for a post 2004 so that I wouldn't have to keep putting the bolts and such back together.... but don't know if I would go for a 2007...(fuel inj vs. carb.). I would be looking more at the Sportsters (probably a XL 883L... I like the mid peg positions (don't care for the floor boards)) Or the Dyna (FXDB) I understand that the trail is 4.5-4.7 and that would influence turning and traction... and that the Harleys are a bit heavier (6-650#) so that when I do set it down... I'll be VERY annoyed at having to get it back up. But.... you just shouldn't park anything other than a Harley on Main street. I actually like the S2R1000 (Monster). Better rake angle (24deg. vs. 29 of the Harley's) and looks quite cool!!! Also looking at the Yamaha YZF-R6S (kinda like tdogs neighbors.... but smaller cylind. bore and less compression ratio.... but that's ok) There's just so many options!!!!!
  15. The only thing that is a turn off is asking... and being denied. But... in general - it's all a turn on.
  16. I actually had a few friends who were girls who borrowed my bike on a regular basis after I taught them how to ride. But the best thing I saw... Hollywood Boulevard, 1999.... A 1000 or 1200 CC super sport of some kind - I think it might have been a 'busa... I forgot the bike, other than the fact it was red. Long blond hair coming out from under the helmet, tight top, short mini-skirt (yes), and high heals... She stopped traffic and was able to make it thru quicker than a firetruck with lights going... The friend of mine that taught me how to ride used to race. And she is a Hottie!
  17. No picture = NO BIKE you're a DOCTOR you makes heaps of CASH Stop being a tight arse and buy a bike I make enough.... but I gots to find the RIGHT bike. Do I want a Harley to park on main at Sturgis? (then do I want a more vintage one or a post 2004... or act real spoiled and get a 2007) Do I want a sport bike (I know me.... I would want to go REALLY fast.... mabye it would be bad to have instant access to REALLY fast) or do I want a Dirt Bike and go off roading with it (I like 4wheeling... but maybe dirt bikin could be fun too) Or a Ducati (i'd be cool to take apart the dry clutch!) Besides.... looking is fun too! But.... I do wanna bike.....
  18. They're both NICE! I wouldn't mind either. My bike.... see picture
  19. Storing ashes? (dark humor, I know... but when you said that... it popped to mind) I don't really agree with all the lawsuits against tobacco companies. As a Dr., I see some of the effects of smoking, smoking and pregnancy, health and wellness.... Patients KNOW not to smoke. I ask them if they're ready to quit, but I don't harrass them.... People KNOW. The lawsuits are just trying to displace blame by saying "the tobacco company made me do it" whether it's cuz it's addictive or comes in cute little tin with appealing packaging. "Recoup health care costs" is a dangerous excuse for a lawsuit... look where it could lead. Smoking is dangerous - lets sue Malboro. Obesity is dangerous - lets sue Mickey D's. Skydiving is dangerous - lets sue Javelin. Running is dangerous - lets sue Nike. Ultimately LIFE is dangerous. We are all gonna die. We just have to be willing to be responsible for our actions while in this world. But... cute tin.
  20. As a whole I agree, with you.... but that doesn't mean that I can't defend the America that I grew up knowing. I grew up hunting with my dad, shooting in competitions, owning firearms... and being polite. But as a whole.... probably doesn't stand. You have to look at the community, not the gun ownership. Thus... back to the video.... THAT community was standing up and becoming more responsible for their neighborhood.... whether it is armed or not.
  21. Unfortunately Thanksgiving as a National Event is about overeating and Black Friday.... I do not want to be anywhere near any stores tomorrow!!!!!!!! But then agian... there are Veteran Day Sales, Memorial Day Sales.... Respectful and honored Holidays have become a commercial opportunity
  22. I got to deliver one healthy lil boy.... and one lil boy that was too early to survive.... Both parents needed support, just different kinds. I was thankful and honored to be able to help both. Enjoy life, Everyone!
