  1. No .... I don't mean the "15 min of fame" type notice. I meant the pain of loss.... the knowledge that life will forever be less that it was/could have been.... truly being MISSED. Whether it is 12 -24-72 hours.... the poll is about the people that are so close that your seperation would be felt deep....
  2. Going off the Grey's Anatomy episode from tonight... If you went missing and/or died, how many people would miss you in a 12 hour period?
  3. Short answer - maybe Long answer - Whether it's cocaine, alcohol, tobacco.... different people respond to it differently. There is definately a genetic key to whether you can "safely" use certain chemicals. George Burns lived to 100 and smoked heavily. But, I know that tobacco is bad for me cuz my dad had lung cancer, mom emphysema (but... *sigh* I do like the smell and taste of cigars.....) Alcohol - some people can drink responsibly and not have it ruin their lives... others, it will destroy them and everyone around them. Cocaine is kinda the same way... but it's just more powerful of a force if you are one that it destroys. I have tried mate de coca (tea made from coca leaves) while in the Andes. It helped with the altitude sickness/headaches and tasted pretty nice. But... I understand that it is very different from smoking a rock. If the tea were legal here, I probably would drink it. Would I want to go get some crack? No. But, some people aren't able to draw that line... thus the government feels that it has to step in and make the decision for us.
  4. I like their catalog.... it's fun to just flip through it and find cool things that I never even knew existed. (and its so organized that it makes me smile)
  5. sounds like plantar fasciitis but read up on it and decide if it is what your feeling.
  6. LOL!!!!!!! Outstanding! Bet the teacher wasn't "happy" but was secretly VERY AMUSED
  7. That may be changing....lol Like I said, it's weird. Please tell us that it's not one of the nurses! That's so cliche!! Ohhh!! I know. One of your coma patients!
  8. Pennsylvanians Physicians Assistant Princess Alberta
  9. I think he's talking about Valentines Day... but maybe his residency has some morbid slang that I don't know about.
  10. Here's a quarter for the vibrating bed in your hotel room...... was that the kind of vibes you needed?
  11. Ok.. serious comment here: do you really beleive that some women arent utterly superficial? I mean, come on! Men dont have the monopoly on that you know... I like my reality where everyone is cool, and nice and the womens rock...(and we might even have pillow fights... but that's only if we wanna). And... we might be demanding, but only in a "we know you want this" sort of way. But not so callous and demeaning as to make someone feel inferior because they have a NATURAL piece of skin still attached to the penis. I don't like the reality where those types play
  12. Religious or not, it's wrong to ask someone to slice off a piece off of them Agreed.... but at least it gives some reason other than vanity and high maintaince demands.
  13. She actually *asked* you to? Please tell me it was because she had strong religious convictions and not just because she was a high-maintenance biotch. I have to echo NWFlyer on that one! Why would some woman DEMAND such a thing?! Whether cut or not shouldn't have any bearing on a relationship or even the sex. (that is unless the guy is just horridly unclean about it all... smegma would not be an alluring asset and would make me reconsider going down on that) Please tell us that it was due to religious beliefs.... tell me that women can't be that .... ..... ...... *shakes head*
  14. Breast milk killed a sour milk thread?!
  15. I don't think you're beating yourself up too much.... you have respect for a very important part of the skydive. But, knowledge and skill takes practice and confidence. You've only had 3 solo landings. No-one should be expecting you to be perfect. Not even yourself. But... if the fear gets too overwhelming, it will ruin the whole fun of it. Get some good and reliable help, and try to enjoy it. Also... don't worry about the number of tandems - lots of people have many more and some of my best friends have only done (and only want to do) tandems. Each person progresses at his/her own rate. It's not a contest. It's a hobby, enjoy it.
  16. When I was a labor and delivery nurse, one of the other nurses really was nursing... and she would bring in brownies made with.... yup. Her breast milk. Don't know how long that would take to go bad... just know that I didn't try any of them.
  17. I was expecting it to be shifted on a "breastmilk" tangent.
  18. If you get the time, go to Scott Millers Canopy course! It is worth every penny. He's a GREAT instructor and you learn so much about yourself and your canopy. Your confidence and skills will grow with time, as people are mentioning, but why keep dreading the landings?
  19. Here's a good image of an arch!! AND - no pink, no nasty shoes, and definately not too many clothes. What a babe!
  20. Good Luck. Enjoy and I hope you're happy with your accomplishments. Whether you meet the goal or not, HAVE FUN!!!!!
  21. 42. But.... other than the fact that I don't like to be the center of attention, the description sounds fairly accurate.
  22. So... couple questions How stalkerish could it seem if the name of the girl that caught you in this lie is "Anna"? Is it a requirement for girls that you're dating to have the name Anna or be willing to legally change there name to Anna? And finally.... I have to ask this Did you two together could have had pics like this taken?
  23. Situations like that truly and honestly confuse me. I haven't personally had children... but it amazes me that some parents don't have any connection to their children. No maternal/paternal instincts. No deep and caring love. No instinct to ensure continuation of the line. When I do deliveries.... I like seeing the hopeful and happy faces. I don't think that I could do pediatrics.
  24. A friend of mine has one... and Blue is just so amazingly sweet! (but... damn can that puppy sleep)
