Is that chick RIVER???? it looks like her Yup.... that's sweet lil crazy River. Wow cool, does she post here ever? She is doing a great job! I don't know that Summer Glau jumps (it would be cool if she did), but yup... as far as acting goes - She is doing a great job!

Congratulations! The medical field is fun and rewarding. (and at times entertaining... at least I'm sure that I amused the EMT's that came to pick me up when I tweaked my ankle)

I don't want to jinx it, but I just may be able to return to skydiving!

I'm glad things are going so well for you too! And not to jinx it, but I hope that the progress continues! Sometimes the medicines that we take are poisons in disguise. -

I'm going to try to see if Anesthesia will trust me enough to do the spinal without sedation (they did when I had my ACL repaired) That way I get to remember all of it too. Not that the drugs aren't cool, but if you get a cool story, doncha wanna remember it? ps. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one with this *cough* problem with the ground, and even more glad to see your jump numbers and know that this is something that can be overcome!

Using six degrees of separation, you should know someone that can help you get that. You just have to find out who in your circle would be able to link you to her. (unfortunately, it's not me, that I know of.)

Actually with this one, I shouldn't need the incentive spirometer cuz that's to counter the risks of general anesthesia. The case this week I hope to do with a spinal and watch the whole procedure. So no free thingies. But that's ok.... cuz watching them open me up and put metal in my leg will kinda be like watching me become that Terminator chick

I know that one.

I guess that he/she thinks using the turn signal is a courtesy in driving. But, technically, it's a law. Whereas posting correct jump numbers, although it might be a courtesy, is not required. (I'm thinking not using turn signals might be a pet peeve of his/hers)

I don't know that jump numbers really should weigh heavy in the gear section. Caveat emptor when buying ANYTHING, especially something designed to save your life, whether you purchase it at a store on the dz, from an online distributor. used from the classified sections here, or even from ebay - I would want to know what I was buying and why, I would have researched my options and found the one that best suited my needs and wouldn't trust it before inspecting it and (if applicable) having a rigger that I do trust look at it. The person that sold it to me might be the most knowledgeable on the equipment or might be a wuffo that is just working in the store trying to make some cash. Ultimately, it's my choice to buy it, and I tend to do my own footwork (well.... not right now.... but in a couple of weeks... )

If he routinely posts in the disciplines sections, I could see how someone would want to weigh the post with the experience, with the caveat that this is the internet and people do lie (as Cora pointed out) If, however, he typically only posts in bonfire or the community pages, why should his jump numbers matter. Are you "better" in the community if you have 16k jumps? Is your opinion on "boobies" more relevant with skygod status? The community is a collection of those who either have or wish to experience one of the greatest adventures - Life. It's the spirit here.... not how many times that you've thrown your self out of an airplane.

And if I could I would jump up and down and do a snoopy dance!!! (I really didn't like that long leg cast!)
-
well.... he put me on the schedule ASAP to pin it.
-
I don't know.... I want to trust what was done. I want to believe that I got excellent surgical care. (but part of me does wonder WTF didn't he just pin the fibula when he was in there?!)
-
Marty's a bit annoyed, but doing what needs to be done. (He's just getting antsy cuz SHOT SHOW is in a little over 2wks, which means he'll be in Vegas... so this might complicate things a bit) But... It's not like I can put my foot down
-
Back under the knife. The fibula, which was fractured, but due to the ease and completeness of the reduction at the time of original surgery was not pinned. Well, now it has decided to become unruly and misaligned itself. (and NO.... it was not due to me being bad. I have been a very good girl! I still haven't been back to my clinic.... well, except after the ortho appt today - but the offices are right across from each other... so it would be rude not to) So yet another week of . . . . nothing. I do have some good books though, and since I've been decreasing the narcotics, I might even be able to concentrate enough to understand them!

Interesting statistics, pretty pictures, inspiring rhetoric. But it doesn't really say how they plan to fix the problem. I wish that they had ended it with a proposed solution.
-
For those of us that don't speak "English" what exactly does that phrase mean?

Why be so nosey? Well this is bonfire.... and we KNOW you're not old enough for routine screening. Seriously though.... Good luck with the test and the results. ps. if you use astroglide, there might be less blood in the stools.
