Quote To each their own, everybody and their brother like blondes, and in all honesty, they don't do a damn thing for me, asian women are just so much more naturally beautiful, IMO History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 5. The NSL news just made the announcement this week, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who already knew, but out here in Colorado news travels slowly so I just found out. Mark is back in the Tail slot with ASO, so just a few months after the final original member stepped down another one stepped back in. Now I'm interested to see whose picking up the extra slot on ASV, anybody out there wanna hook a brotha up?? Betsy I'm looking at you!! 6. Ever the gentlemanQuote lighten up, if you ever question the way I treat women why don't you poke around a little first, there are quite a few ladies on this site that I'm friends with who would vouch that I treat them with nothing less than the utmost respect. Why is it so damn hard for people to make jokes on here without someone getting offended, if you don't like it don't read it. 9. Fortunately, there are plenty of jumpers who _are_ willing to take people up. We have several RW organizers who organize RW for free, and Perris encourages this by covering their slot. Quote Bill, I've always had a great time at Perris, I've been there a handful of times and never once had a complaint. If you remember I was even there for last year's 10 way meet(my team scored higher than yours!!). the organizing at Perris was exactly what I was talking about though, that is what we need to see more of. Even if it's not what some may consider coaching, the one on one, with video and debrief, if they want something like that and expect it for free, well that's another story. But I think there could be more skilled jumpers who could get involved in things like this. I understand some people are busy when they go to the DZ, especially teams and such, I'm not knockin those guys, more takin a shot at the ones who don't fly with newbies becuase they don't want someone to go low and ruin their jump. 10. Sounds like you attract insecure women, the ex is begging and the girl comming over needs back upQuote Well if the ex hadn't dumped me she wouldn't have to beg me to come back now would she. 11. Haven't you ever heard of sharing, and I don't mean sharing yourself with all those women, I mean sharing all those women with me! 12. Thanks for not noticing the blonde over on the left. I still have a chance with her. Quote Are you still mad at me for taking all the cute girls at Skyfest two years ago? Actually let me clear the story up as there has been a bit of confusion. but I still luv ya guys regardless. I was at the gym on the bike and saw a girl on the treadmill who happened to have the best legs I've ever seen in my life, and she was asian, so we were meant to be. I didn't want to interrupt her workout so I just extended my workout until she finished so I could snag her and introduce myself. While I was waiting for her to wrap up her workout I noticed the girls in the hot tob checking me out. the first girl I saw, the one with the great legs(this is the one I'm gonna marry) left before I could grab her and I refused to go home empty handed so I walked up to the friend of the girl who was sitting in the hot tub, handed my number over and said "tell her to call me when she's done" and walked out. by the time I got home I had a phone call, and tonight her and her twin sister are coming over to my place. I have yet to see the other girl again but next time I do I'll snag her number as well. Oh and the twins are asian too, it's just been a great week for me, and this whole time my ex girlfriend is regretting kickin me to the curb because she's been calling begging me to come back. 13. way to twist what i had to say, i never said i hated all overweight people, i said i hated the ones that tried to make excuses for being that way, like the ones who sue fast food chains for "making" them be overweight, or the ones that try and blame their condition on a disease they have. if you look at the original post it points out how much respect i had for a kid that became overweight as a result of his own actions, placed the blame on nobody but himself and made changes to his lifestyle to become more healthy. the kid looked in the mirror and said "this is my fault and no one is responsible for fixing it but me", when he could have said "i'm gonna sue the hell out of my dad's restraunt for letting me eat all that food". i have respect for an overweight person in the gym tring to make a difference in their life, although i'm sure they could done it a little more preemptively, but at least they realized there is an issue that needs to be dealt with. but if you want to sit there saying i'm a closed minded prejudicial person you go right ahead. but looking at that first definition of the word wouldn't that kind of be like the pot calling the kettle black? 15. 16. now I just need to figure out what her name is I was at the gym about an hour ago, yeah I work out at odd hours, it's past midnight right now and I just got back, I was on the bike qhen I looked over my shoulder and saw this girl moving from the stair climber to the tread mill wearing a weight vest, looks like she had at least 20-30 pounds in there. She was wearing some tiny little shorts too and DAMN did she have some great legs, little bit of muscle packed on there, it was just hot. I had originally planned to do 45 minutes on the bike and go home and it turned into, 35 minutes on the bike, 10 minutes on the treadmill next to her while i checked her out, and conveniently i suddenly had the desire to go do a chest workout after she went to go lift, and what a coincidence we both ended up at the ab machines too, overall it added an extra 45 minutes to my second workout of the day. I couldn't help myself, she was in great shape, had some killer tats, and she was asian(that's the seller with me), now if she would just walk up and promise to beat the crap out of me I'd ask her to marry me i don't think she would though cuz i caught her eyein me a few times. i didn't get to talk to her because I think it's rude to interrupt someones workout to hit on them and i couldn't catch her before she stepped out But to make myself feel better as i was leaving I handed my number to the friend of the girl that was sitting in the hot tub(she happened to be asian as well!) and had her friend tell her to call me when she got out of the hot tub. She did and I have a date tomorrow night haha I win. Now I just have to go back and meet my future wife, hopefully she'll be there tomorrow night. 17. There are a lot of variables when comparing these two fighters, in the end it's most likely going to come down to who got the jump on who and which pilot is better. But looking at a few raw facts, the F15 was built for air superiority, it is made for dogfighting although it came out in a time where bigger is badder. The radar system in the F15 is conducive to detecting aircraft before they know you are their and they typically equip themselves with an armament capable of reaching out and giving a little love at a range where you haven't even begun to consider it to be a dogfight. In close though, the mig 29 is going to have the advantage(speaking solely on aircraft capabilities). The mig is much much smaller and lighter and greatly more manueverable. In terms of who can punch it out and make space the fastest, its been a while since i really studied my aircraft but i do know the 15 has enough ass behind it to accelerate going vertical. the direct comparison in aircraft for the mig 29 would be an f 16, but then again i've heard stories from some of our boys in 16's who said they were spanked by a 15 in training. So again i think it comes down to the pilot. On service ceilings though if i recall correctly the 15 will take it a bit higher. 18. Rumsfeld assured us it would not even take six months, back in 2003.Quote I think he's out job hunting at this moment for a reason. 19. NEvertheless, I "think" that the most severe crime - murder - should be dealt the harshest penalty. PEople have tried to convince me that lesser offenses like assault, rape, using racial epithets and voting Republican are all crimes worthy of death. I think only one crime is worthy of it. THat's all I'm saying. Quote Hey lawrocket, I'm just curious as to what your opinion is on my first post in here about the cost of putting these guys up fr a lifetime versus what we will gain from it. I was just trying to put in a different perspective out of "they did wrong, hang em". I am on the fence on this one, I don't think we should waste the money for a lifetime of care, but am not sure as to whether they should be executed. 20. I'm just shocked that exercising ones rights on a regular basis seems to some to be radical behavior. Have we really slipped that far down the slope?Quote please don't feel that this is what I am trying to say, I don't consider exercising your rights to be radical behavior. Give me a few hours and I think I may be able to convey my point in a way you might like a bit better, and from looking at your replies and trying to understand where you are coming from I think you may even agree with me. But for now I'm in the middle of trying to get my wireless router back up and running so I keep unplugging the modem, and am about to take a break from that to head to the gym, so I'll wrap this one up in a few hours or possibly in the morning. 21. Everybody is losing in this war.Quote You are right in some respect, everyone is losing something in this war, for us in the US we are losing countless great men and women. As for the war itself, even if the media doesn't portray it, we are inching closer to victory, nobody ever said the war would go quickly. 22. I did. To paraphrase, you suggested rights are conditional. Quote good god, is your last name really Kallend? obviously you didn't read my post or you would have realized that question wasn't even to you. Remember what I have said in many previous posts about people not listening? perfect example right here, this and your other post, I am making an attempt to see things from your side and understand where you are coming from, and to an extent I do, and even agree with certain parts of your take on this. You on the other hand seem to not take a second to understand the point I am trying to get across but rather simply look at the words on the screen and throw out a contradictory reply. It seems futile to continue to debate you, but I'm going to continue to try regardless, even if I can't change your mind maybe I can at least get you to stop and make an attempt to understand where I am coming from, maybe I just haven't stated my point clearly and if I haven't I apologize I'll try and do it better. 23. If rights are conditional as you suggest here, they aren't rights at all.Quote Do you even read my posts? History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  24. I don't know what the right answer is, but I think that the worst thing we could do is more of the same. It hasn't worked yet, and is just plunging us deeper into chaos there. I think we have to have the courage to admit that we're making mistakes and be willing to fix them. Quote I think we are seeing eye to eye for the most part on the issue, we need to do something so long as it is not the same course we have been following. If at this very moment we could pull out and the IA would handle the situation by themselves then let's roll(as long as I get my 8 months of tax free status fist) and finish up in Afghanistan while we're on our way home, I don't think that just because we left we are cutting and running. I do however oppose those who say, "let's get out of there and let the Iraqis deal with the rest of the problems, its their country anyways". Like I said, we started it, let's finish it, whether the best course of action to a successful ending is styaing and fighting or leaving and handling it diplomatically. The Iraqi Army is getting better every day, I've had the pleasure of working alongside them and have seen first hand a drastic improvement, they are some good guys and will soon be fully capable on their own. Yes it will cost more of our own along the way, no course of action is without its consequences, the insurgents get lucky here and there and get one of us(remember, even a broken watch is right twice a day). But they are losing. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  25. I have never claimed to be perfect in any way. As for what difference it makes to me, are you saying that there is nothing in this world that just pushes your buttons and sets you off? A man littering doesn't make youwant to scream, or maybe a guy walking up to a woman he's never met and slapping her on the ass, does that get to you? Everybody has their pet peeves, one of mine is people who make excuses for being overweight, rather than saying "if I hadn't grown up eating twinkies I wouldn't be in poor health" they say "it's the fault of twinkies I'm like this, not mine". I'm sure you beieve people should take responsiblity for their own actions, well becoming overweight, that is a direct result of the lifestyle choices you make, if you accept your mistake and are happy with yourself, I applaud your positive outlook on life and self-confidence, but the second you try and sue Burger King for "making" you fat, you have no sense of responsibilty and are truly a weak person in my eyes. Let me give you a little scenario, let's say you pull up to an office building, as you are looking for a parking space you notice a car pulling into the handicap spot directly in fron tof the door(the car has the sticker and the driver is legally allowed to park there), at the far opposite end of the parking lot, we'll say 300 meters away from the door you see another car pull in to the next closest spot. As you look back at the "handicapped" person again you notice an incredibly overweight woman climb out of the car, she has no apparent disability, walks just fine, seems to be no reason for her to be parking there. Now you look back at the other car, as you get closer you notice the license plate, it has a purple heart on it, the back window of the car has a sticker that says "Operation Enduring Freedom Vet". You see the driver climb out and it is a young man missing a leg, he has a prosthetic that doesn't seem to help much, and on the other leg a very heavy looking knee brace on, and many noticeable scars on his face, he seems to be in pain with every movment, he pulls his crutches out of the car and begins his journey across the parking lot trying to stand tall despite his injuries incurred in defense of his fellow Americans. You find your parking space and walk into the building, you run into the lady andout of morbid curiosity you approach her and ask what her reason was for parking there, perhaps she would like help escorting a disabled person to the vehicle. Her reply, "I have the obeisity disease", you say, "oh, I apologize, diabetes is a horrible thing to live with", she corrects you by saying, "no, twinkies forced me to be this way, cause I couldnt' stop eating them I got adicted", you reply with, "well at least despite your disease you continue to hld a job", she says, "oh no I don't work, I'm to sick from obeisity, this is my attorney's building, I was just coming to pick up my check from the twinkie company and then I am headed home to spend it". I'm sure out of common decency you would bite your tongue and walk away, but think about what wouldbe going through your mind. Those are the kind of people I despise, those who can't take responsiblity for the choices they made. I mentioned in my original post that I fully understand there are conditions whic are conducive to being overweight, but that doesn't mean these people have to be overweight. I have seen people with these conditions who still live a very healthy lifestyle because they saw the hand they were dealt and decided to find a way to work through it.
