Post here if you're a dork like me and love Super Nintendo!

I thought you were supposed to blow in a NINTENDO, and hit a SUPER NINTENDO and tip it upside down so each of them work? Mother to the cutest little thing in the world... -
Well, that depends. I wouldn't trust her right away, because she was cheating and completely had no regard whatsoever for her S.O. Now, if she broke things off with him and decided to take a break from dating to figure herself out and what she wanted, then I would say yes, it is possible to trust someone who has cheated in her past. If she was truly sorry and asked for forgiveness from the guy she cheated on, yes. People can and DO change. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

I went into a cd/vinyl/dvd/video game place yesterday just to browse and see how much I could get for my PS1 and I noticed they had Super Nintendo games! I asked them how much their Super Nintendos run for right now, and since they are supposedly popular again, the guy told me around 50-60 bucks! I am hoping maybe I'll get one for birthday because I just looooooooved playing games on S.N. Anyone else share my love? Forget the fancy graphics and computer games---give me Super Nintendo any day! I didn't exactly think I could start a "GOD is good" post in Bonfire- I am sure it would have been moved immediately. That being said, why can't people let Christians live their lives in peace? Nobody here had to post; anyone here could have just said Congrats and moved on. But nope! It ain't gonna happen-when Jesus, the truth, is proclaimed King of Kings and Lord of Lords, people get antsy. Again, please read the first post.

Did anyone see the Mike Mullins murder case on A+E channel
windcatcher replied to recovercrachead's topic in The Bonfire
DOH! It was on again? Too bad I missed it, I'm really curious to see the program sometime. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world... -
I got one that said something like, "You have a face and you make for yourselves another"--. Chad loved this one, especially since he likes me better without makeup. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

No, I am pro-life. What am I saying, is God gave people a free will, and of course human beings will act selfish. But it's a CHOICE to be selfish, no one is making you. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...
-
Absolutely! People can choose to be selfish anytime they want, and it IS their choice. I am way too selfish for being a Christian, but I know that I am not as bad as I used to be, and I am changing for the better. But you are right--people have a free will, they can love/hate anyone they want to, they can make selfish decisions. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

awe thanks. BTW though, I am still very selfish! Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

So only "perfect" people deserve to live then? Only "perfect" people have a reason to live, a purpose? How can we separate those with "normal" defects like being born deaf, from those with "more serious" defects; how come we can pick and choose which child's life is more valuable, depending on close they come to being "perfect?" If you've never had one of these defects, you don't know what kinds of lives they live; obviously they won't be perfect lives, but no one lives a perfect life. Maybe having a kid with Downs Syndrome can help change one of the most selfish people on earth into one of the most loving and patient people that ever walked. Let's not try and place people's worth and value above others. I voted that I would keep the baby; yes, it would be hard, because every woman wants a "normal" baby; but I would know that as I chose to love the child as he/she is, I would learn a lot of REAL love and I would be changed forever. Well, you know what my answer would be---no, it's not okay. However, there is a question as to whether true altruism really exists; can people help others, without any kind of reward/motivation to be rewarded? Jesus said it is MORE blessed to GIVE than to RECEIVE, and I believe he's right.

How do you know I don't do any of that stuff? Again, this is a good example of people always saying it's the CHRISTIANS that judge others, not them I like to brag on my God, just like I like to brag on people when THEY have done awesome things for someone else. I am no different than any one of you. Did I say that in my post? Nope. ( I guess people will assume whatever they want to). God does "awesome stuff" for people all the time--they just don't normally recognize it comes from Him, or they focus so much on the bad stuff in their lives that they don't ever look at the positive. Everyone goes through crap in their lives--do you know any of the crap I am going through right now? Nope. How do you know I am not "worse" off than you? Anyway, I know this post would incite a little bashing, but that's okay---anywhere Jesus Christ is proclaimed King of Kings and Lord of Lords, it will happen. Since we like to share what God is doing in our lives, thought I would share.
