    Thanks Ron! I think I may go ahead any buy it, if I like the way it flies...it would be so much easier on me financially if I buy the canopy w. a chuck of money, and save 3 months. for the rest, rather than try and save 3-6 months for everything. Besides, I won't put but a 100 jumps on it before I graduate college next year and can afford new gear w; a REAL job.I can still jump, at least once a weekend. That should be enough until I can get all my stuff in February. Thanks for all the advice guys!

    Hi Lainey---several reasons, one reason, keep stalkers at bay, keep my life more private. ( which is impossible sometimes for me to do in the bonfire, cuz I love sharing). Part of it has to do with the fact that I have run into some weirdos, and w/ things that have happened to me in the past I don't want to risk getting hurt. Some people's responses are just inappropriate and I really don't want to have to read certain things. That being said, I have met some wonderful people on here, you know who you are. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

    The canopy I'm looking at is a PD 190, f111. I haven't jumped it yet, but my instructor/rigger says it would be a nice first canopy for me. It's less than $500, only has 230 jumps. Obviously,I will be able to buy the container/reserve in a few months, probably february. Since I am a poor college student and have a hard time coming up w/ a chunk of money, I figure it will be easier to buy the canopy ( if I like it) and pay for my jumps as I go. In a few months I will have another chunk of money, and that can go towards my container/reserve. I'll be able to learn so much more quickly once I have all my own gear. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

    Calling all pranksters! I need some good ideas...me and someone else are looking for creative ideas to "get" someone back at the dz.(shhhhhhhh!) Anybody wanna share previous pranks you've pulled on fellow, unsuspecting skydivers? Don't worry, it's all in good fun, it's not going to be dangerous/stupid, we just want to get this guy back for giving us a hard time. PM's are acceptable if you don't want everybody to see your ideas. It doesn't even have to be a prank, we could always get him wet or tie him up somehow, hehe. Thank you!     Hey guys, I need some precious newbie advice. I found a good deal on a canopy, I was wondering if I should go ahead and buy my first canopy, since it's such a good deal, or if I should make some coached jumps to get my A. Please do not tell me I should get my A before I buy my own gear, I plan on skydiving until I die. Anyways, since winter is coming up, I thought maybe I could go ahead and get the main, and only do maybe 1 jump a weekend, till I can save up enough to get a container/reserve.In a few months I'll have my own gear hopefully, and though I wanted to get my A quickly, I figure it's better to actually LEARN how to fly instead of just being obsessed w/ becoming licensed so quickly. So, even though I have a little money coming, and I could either put it towards coach jumps, or canopy, which would be a better investment? Once I have all my gear, I can jump more and learn quicker since my skydives will be cheaper. What do you guys suggest?? Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

    ah, I had a wonderful weekend! 0:2:1 First jump Dave dove out after me and was gonna try and catch up to me but couldn't, I sank like a rock. He was in a full stand for 5000ft. he said, and he was still too slow for me. 2nd jump, Jill, Ben, Dave and I exited together and they were gonna try and come near me, but again no one could catch up to me! I was probably falling so fast because I needed to stick my feet out more and not arch so hard. Anyways, I saw Dave do a little freeflying, that was cool to watch. Mel said I owed beer, I told him it was my first time getting to do more than one jump in a day!

    I used to be a pyro when I was younger. I almost set the woods below our apartment complex on fire; me and my friends had a little fire going IN THE WOODS ( I know, not the brightest idea), and after enjoying it for awhile we simply put it out and continued our little hike. Well, Alicia forgot her purse next to where the fire was, so we had to go back and get it...next thing you know the fire had started up again on its own! Thank God we went back, otherwise there would have been a big forest fire that day... And also, when I was younger, Apryl and I saw spiders and I decided fire would be the best way to kill them. So I lit a coffee can w/ papers inside on fire, put it in my brothers room, and tried "smoking" out the spiders; too bad even the ants were still alive in there, needless to say my pyromaniac way did not solve the problem.
