hey Jen- I just wanted to say that I know men are very visual creatures, and that's okay, but honestly beauty fades. Sure we all want someone who is attractive to find us attractive, and we all have different opinions of what that typifies, but people get old, body parts start shifting and falling off, wrinkles develop, and then YOU DIE!!!! Nobody's beauty lasts forever, but character, personality and friendliness can last a lifetime. If any guy turns down getting to know someone just because she doesn't look like a playbody bunny, than obviously that's probably not the kind of guy most girls would want anyway. I would much rather be with someone who loved the way I looked on the outside and the inside, with imperfections and all, cuz he aint perfect either! If I get married to some fitness-loving guy who develops a pot belly, what am I gonna do, divorce him because he didn't hold his part of the bargain?Bottom line: everybody likes different types of people, but remember lots of em "wear their face that they keep in a jar by the door." You can be beautiful and attractive on the outside, but how many people do you know who are TRULY beautiful,magnificent beings on the inside??? oh my gosh Val you read my mind! I was actually thinking about posting a "what I love about dz.com" last night. I have met a lot of really cool people, found rides to the dropzone w/ local jumpers, learned A LOT about skydiving, especially safety issues, found out about events, what to look for in gear, and I have had so much fun getting to know people on here, getting to see their lovely faces. So, thanks to the moderators and everyone else for keeping dz.com alive...I feel like I'm gonna be a better jumper because of all I have learned from this site, plus I have a few creative ideas of fun jumps to do. Thanks everyone!

since I'm a communications major, I had to comment on this one. The use of emoticons aid in comm, because over the internet most comm is lost since there is no way to gauge nonverbal communication. One of my textbooks says that over 90% of communication is NONVERBAL!!! Yeah, it was either 75%, 80% or 90%, can't remember. and I can't help it either, I've a very expressive person so these faces help the comm.process...speaking of which, I have a midterm tom. over 35 different comm.theories!!! most important thing: Warm up!!! If I start running, but only stretch and no warm-up, my legs definitely feel it. In fact, last year I injured my upper thigh area from running, because I ran further than what my body was used to. So, make sure you do a general warm-up for 5 min like walking, then do another 5 minute warm up doing the specific exercise you plan on doing for cardio....and afterwards MAKE sure you cool down and do some nice stretching. Trust me, at my school they make you take HPE(health and fitness) I and II, take an HPE activity class every semester, and do a field test EVERY semester...in addition to making you get 50 "aerobic" points every week. It's great though, freshman year I could run 6 miles a day! btw, good job on trying to get in shape, you'll look and feel great.!!! Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

of course not everyone, just because they skydive, are gonna be "attractive." what I'M saying is that I'm mostly only attracted to passionate men, and since skydiving is one of my most "passionate passions" I aint gonna go after a freakin golf player! hey, I'm in no way hot, but I do find most skydivers attractive... it just takes a REALLY special one to drop my jaw and make ME drool, but that usually comes after getting to know one of em. If they think they're all that, chances are, I'd be like, "Yeah right dude." I love it when I see a guy who thinks he's all that, and I have no interest whatsoever, and can clearly point out that not EVERY girl would jump at the chance to get with him! Copiers -- They are Female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed. Tire -- Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated. heheheheh, all you guys on here, I could be a bald middle aged man and you'd NEVER know!
