As I understand it, the hearings actually are just about foreign meddling in your election and it's process. That is why you don't hear me accusing the President of collusion. Frankly, I believe he lacks the ability/skill to successfully participate in what would be a very complex scheme. That's my opinion, based solely on his sorry vocabulary and his antagonistic & egotistical posturing - not upon any media site, right, left or centre.

The invoice for my replacement keyboard will be following forthwith.

THAT, is the only pattern to all of this so far. Enough, already. Watergate's "Deep Throat" remained anonymous for 31 years. Not all anonymous sources are intrinsically liars. And not patently "fake news" by design. Personally though, I'll wait until I hear it from Comey's own mouth. As I hope that Trump fans would actually listen to Trumps words and read his tweeted twaddle instead of first checking with right-wing sites and talking-heads to get the spin.

I am surprised that with so many active and retired US military that populate our sport (and here on DizzyDotEtc) that this hasn't generated more, ummmm, "interest". After all, he is their Commander-in-Chief, representing a grateful and sombre nation for the men and women who have perished in service of their country, seen at the annual ceremony at Arlington. -
Yes, after he appeared in "Live and Let Die", they brought him back in the next film: "Man with the Golden Gun". This gentleman: http://variety.com/2017/film/news/clifton-james-dead-sheriff-in-james-bond-films-dies-at-96-1202031445/

Some families like the following need to be removed from western society. From the linked report: "Members of his own family had even informed on him in the past, telling British authorities that he was dangerous, according to the intelligence official." -
Maybe they all meet at Policemen Balls and have a pin-exchange?

I'm surprised this didn't become an international incident.

The Justice that you are happy about is none other than the Hon. Sam A. Lindsay. On Thursday, Judge Sam Lindsay of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas granted the defendants' motion to dismiss the lawsuit, saying the plaintiffs had failed to prove officials discriminated against Mohamed. (source: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/clock-boy-ahmed-mohamed-discrimination-lawsuit-dismissed/) An amusing claim. On November 8, 1997, Lindsay was nominated by President Bill Clinton to be a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_A._Lindsay#Federal_judicial_service)

I'm of the opinion that Nixon is responsible for his own downfall. All Woodward and Bernstein did was shine a light into the dark recesses of his presidency. I think that is what reputable journalists do. They help the citizens hold politicians accountable.

When other politicians have dunderhead moments, they ARE duly reported in the media. Trudeau, May, Turnbull and numerous others have all been held to account for similar routine mistakes. Their routine mistakes of engaging mouth before brain occur perhaps bimonthly or even quarterly. But because Mr. Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his bigly skill of multiple daily flubs, it could be he is just perceived as being persecuted.

Marc, do you really believe this is the sole reason for all the detritus arising from within this man's administration?
-
When was the president granted this authority? Was it written in your Constitution? Or can it be repealed?
-
As I understand it, your President is empowered to talk about anything to anybody. By openly speaking to an individual without an appropriate security clearance, the topic just became officially unclassified, which technically means he didn't leak anything classified at all. Playing the devil's advocate, what check/balance is there to prevent a bragadocious (sic) Commander-in-Chief from giving a foreign power your nation's nuclear launch codes?

Free? Just like always? "On September 2, 1940, President Roosevelt signed a “Destroyers for Bases” agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, the United States gave the British more than 50 obsolete destroyers, in exchange for 99-year leases to territory in Newfoundland and the Caribbean, which would be used as U.S. air and naval bases. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill had originally requested that Roosevelt provide the destroyers as a gift, but the President knew that the American public and Congress would oppose such a deal. " (source: https://history.state.gov/milestones/1937-1945/lend-lease) "Britain will settle its World War II debts to the US and Canada when it pays two final instalments before the close of 2006, the Treasury has said. The payments of $83.25m (£42.5m) to the US and US$22.7m (£11.6m) to Canada are the last of 50 instalments since 1950." (source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/6215847.stm)

So, it was just speculated by Jaworski. Thanks. John

Good afternoon Jerry, I was as well. I'm not aware of that. Do you have a citation or source? Regards, John

Peter, the invoice for my new keyboard will arrive by mail.

Mr. Trump boasted about grabbing ladies by their vagina's without permission and he wins the Presidency, but a sarcastic comic crudely suggests Putin's dick between his lips, and America is horrified. Got it.
-
With all due respect, Mr. Colbert's words neither modified nor amplified foreign perceptions of the President. To believe otherwise illuminates your many citizens myopia to the world outside your borders.

Changed the subject to reflect your preference. The attached reflects the current contents of the cabinet in my hangar at the airport. We Canucks are a welcoming bunch... That bottle of J&B is just there as a degreaser and parts cleaner, right? It's actually filled with Crown Royal. The large dispensing bottle is necessary because I have a couple of guys that show up regularly that drink a lot of CR... a LOT... If you're ever around YVK, ask at the DZ for me. John ETA: I concur on your opinion of J&B. Liquid razor-blades.
