Skydiving helmets are mostly for freefall collisions to protect you from getting knocked out. They are also good for collisions with things under canopy such as trees, cars, etc. Although if you are in freefall and you hit the ground with a helmet on that said helmet will do absolutely nothing.

Any snowboarders out there? Can you recommend some top web sites for gaining info on the sport, gear, galleries, etc? Thanks.
