  1. Dont threaten him. Thats unprofessional. Accept the other job if its offered to you, and politely give your employer proper notice. IF they feel like making a counter offer, then the ball is in their court. In either case you will be good. __ My mighty steed

  5. Hmmm. I dont seem to recall judging anyone. I dont need to know the person to know the disease or comment on how it manifensts. I know the disease and am well qualified to comment
  6. Oh, give me a break. Just because you have a blackout does not make you an alcoholic, nor does it mean you have a problem. It means you pushed it too far, probably learned a lesson, and had a severe hangover. I guess when it happened to me I kind of did have a problem.. the hangover... man did I feel like shit the next day! He said "blackouts" meaning more than one isolated incident. If it happens more than a couple times, you have a problem. __ My mighty steed
  7. Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! I would go further and say if you have blackouts you have a problem, not "probably" or "could". So would I, problem is people tend to get nasty when you call them alcoholics against their will I do believe that its possible to have one or two such events in your life and not be an alcoholic. __ My mighty steed
  8. Blackouts are very common for alcoholics. Normal drinkers rarely suffer blackouts. Pay heed to this fact people. Its not bullshit. If you routinely have gaps in your memory from drinking, you probably have a problem. I am an alcoholic, sober for 10 years. I had many upon many evenings that I dont remember at all, and frankly I think Im better off not remembering __ My mighty steed
  9. If you were at 4000ft and you could see him clearly then he was still plenty high
  10. Anyone ever take their Pro-track on a high altitude jump? I'll be doing one or two of those 23,000 ft jumps at the WFFC and I'm wondering what it does on a jump that goes above its range. Thanks! __ My mighty steed

  13. I hope they arent done yet because the selection currently listed isnt all that exciting. This will be my FIRST time at the convention and I was hoping for some good specialty jumps. Casa's, Otters, Skyvans, King Airs. I can get all those without going to Rantoul
  14. Took me 16 years to get from my A license to my C license I expect at my current pace it will take 2 more years to get to my D. That'll be 18 years. Is that fast?
  15. I thought this might be a nice contrast to the thread where they discussed getting from scratch to a D license in under a year. In my own defense I will add that after getting my A license and making about 50 odd jumps, I then took a 14 year break from jumping and only returned 2 years back... __ My mighty steed
  16. Finally got my C license... 16 years after getting my A
  17. I like big. My main is a 188 but my reserve is a PD218 I'm not overly concerned about having the teeny weeny rig. I LIKE the look of my Vector 3. If its too small nobody will see it __ My mighty steed
  18. There are dropzones where flat packing is still the norm and pro packing is only done by a few people. I came from a dropzone like that and still visit there occasionally. I didnt learn to pro pack until I started jumping at Cross Keys __ My mighty steed

You need a good does of holy water mate, i knew you were gonna say all black! What are you takin about anyway? Jumpsuit? Rig? Main? I'm always arguing with my buddy about them. On all 3 areas I'm Black and Red (nice eh?) I do have blue grippers on my jumpsuit, blue embroidery on the rig, and a couple blue ribs on the main. He is all yellow and orange and neon. He says my colors are boring and unimaginative. I tell him his colors are gay. Which are you? __ My mighty steed

Go with black and black. Add black grippers with black trim tape and you are all set. I'd rather be boring than use yellow or orange. Of course I'm evil so you might expect that from me __ My mighty steed
  22. Perris only flies to 12500 ft? I thought 13500 was the defacto standard for turbine dropzones. __ My mighty steed
  23. Could be! Time to take a good hard look at yourself, dude I can fix ya up with my sister, only problem is she's gay
