First thing I did was figure out what I could afford, then I went to a mortgage guy and got pre-approved for a mortgage for that amount, once I had that I started lookin on the internet realtor sites, once I found some suitable places I contacted the realtor and made appointments to look at them. The realtor took me through the rest of the process fairly easily once I had decided what I wanted to buy... __ My mighty steed

I second this rec for the Pilot. I've had 2 Sabre2's and I loved them both. Can NOT beat the flying characteristics and the flare is awesome. They both gave me some squirrely, off heading openings fairly often though. I'm jumping a Pilot now and it has nice soft on heading openings, flies beautifully. Not quite as much flare as the Sabre2 and it doesnt feel quite as responsive, but once I was used to the difference its been great. For a beginner I'd highly recommend the Pilot. The fact that it costs slightly less is nice too ;-) __ My mighty steed

I prefer it waxy. The more smooth/oily stuff rubs off too easily and doesnt last as long. I'm an old original chap-stik in the black tube kinda guy

Actually, its a national thing, not state by state. 16 years old is the "legal" requirement with parental consent. Most dropzones still wont allow you to jump until you are 18 though, but some few will. Once you are 18 any dropzone will allow you to train there and get your license. __ My mighty steed

I hate sounding like a parent, but be careful drinking in a hot tub. Unseasoned drinkers cant hold much alcohol to begin with and the hot water will intensify the effect. People have passed out and drowned under those circumstances. As the "leader", keep some wits about you and watch out for your friends. Keep em safe and have fun. __ My mighty steed
