  1. I agree that hamsters are rodents, but they are also PETS. You shouldn't feed pets to other pets, nor should you abuse them because your pet chose not to eat them. Even if it was "just a rodent" I still don't agree with going out of your way to be cruel to it.
  2. Take the course using rental gear, just make sure you use the gear you've been jumping most consistently and keep the same rig for the whole day.
  3. pssssssst...... She goes by Melissa now. If you're going to obsess over her, you should get her name right!
  4. I'm sure someone will chime in the the whole circle of life thing, but that's just wrong!
  5. I second that! Scott also travels to different dzs, especially during the summer months. My landings are 100% better after taking his class- of course, I had to take it twice since I managed to break my leg the first time. He has a way of presenting the material in a way that makes sense and sinks in.
  6. A house is an investment, a car is a money pit. Get the house!
  7. Well, that's fine, but wouldn't I still have to calculate the 120 days? I'm a lazy skydiver! I can count 4 months, but really 120 days is 4 months give or take a day! That's what throws me off- that DAY! It sucks to manifest for a jump and then be asked for your reserve card!

    Toilet Seat

Well, in my house we always keep the lid down so that wouldn't be a problem!

    Toilet Seat

I've lived with 2 boyfriends, plus my father and my brother. The toilet seat has never been an issue- they do what they are supposed to do! Don't let them skate with the genetics excuse! Laziness is not genetic!

    Toilet Seat

I keep the lid to my toilet closed at home because I don't want my cats drinking the toilet water, and because it just looks better that way. But putting the toilet seat down is just common courtesy and you guys need to stop whining about it already!
  12. We need a puking smiley too!
  13. I'm AB- also, and back when I used to donate regularly, they always gave me the VIP treatment because of my rare blood. Is that because the components (platelets, plasma, etc) are more valuable/ needed than just whole blood and are those generally more type specific? I'm directing this ? at you SkyCat because you seem to know a little about the topic! When I was in college, the red cross used to call me when there was a shortage, pick me up at my dorm, feed me and bring me home when I was done! And once they actually told me my donation was going to help a premature baby that had just been born that day. That made me feel really good! Now they don't want my blood or platelets because I go to Mexico almost every year!
  14. Gawd- I think I saw a Marcus Welby episode about it when I was a little kid!
  15. No, not exactly but they've had the boogies there and I think a couple of swoop events also. I know they landed on the beach and dirtdived and organized by the pool, but I'm not sure where the plane took off from.
  16. I sense a large settlement coming this guy's way and my guess is a few people have already lost their jobs. Best Buy doesn't want too much press over this!
  17. They used to have a boogie there every year.
  18. Me 3. But I can't donate anymore because they object to my vacations in Mexico.
  19. I think these days if there is any question, they just give the woman a shot after she gives birth (or miscarries, or has an abortion). Oh, and it only appears to be an issue if the mother is RH negative.
  20. AB negative- I've known since high school.
  21. I had my fair share of fun in college, but I'm glad I'm not there anymore! And I do agree, college bars in college towns are different.
  22. You can use a regular circular saw for the boards, but you'll need a plywood blade. The cut ends of the floorboards will be under the trim, regardless, but if I could cut them straight, anyone can. I agree you need a miter saw for the trim. I think it actually took longer to do the trim in my basement than it did to lay the whole floor. As far as avoiding water? I've got walnut floors in my kitchen and I think Pergo or the laminate floor in my basement would probably withstand the water better. Do shop around and compare brands. Pergo is a lot more expensive than the other brands out there, and I personally don't think its worth the extra money.
