  1. Nice! (Now you just need to teach him to tie his shoelaces...) t It's the year of the Pig.
  2. Tonto is thinking beautiful thoughs.... Hummmmmmmmmmmmm. Hummmmmmmmmmmmm. Hummmmmmmmmmmmm. Hummmm Oh. An intrusive thought... lets have a look... [intrusive thought] I hope he never gets a job as a postal worker[/intrusive thought] Seriously - That's an awesome collection. I'm guessing the "Classes" relate to Automatic weapons, etc? t It's the year of the Pig.
  3. The design of the canopy may make it intermediate, but if you take a Safire and load it to 1.8 - it's going to sing. No doubt there. t It's the year of the Pig.
  4. I'm tempted to say go to an eliptical only if you're sure about your malfunction procedures. I think that's where the major "undiscovered" risk lies. I see a lot of new eliptical jumpers chopping a lot from recoverable canopies - or trying to solve problems I wouldn't waste any time over. Although I jump one - many of my peers with well over 4000 dives are now jumping "tapered" or "Light Eliptical" canopies. Speak to your instructors. They've seen you land and will be able to give the best advice. t It's the year of the Pig.
  5. But not the worst day there... t It's the year of the Pig.
  6. You're a lucky woman. I know all about Redhawks.. I got mine in 1983. As for people from Finland - I think they may lower the ethics for thin skined bi-pedal prey. t It's the year of the Pig.
  7. Oops.. This is like your kids reading your diary... Buy me a beer one day and I'll tell you a story about courage, treachery, betrayal and imense stupidity. I mean bravery. t It's the year of the Pig.
  8. Well Done! t It's the year of the Pig.
  9. The ribs don't do any such thing. If they go in stable, usually everything vents through the pelvic floor. In a sit or a stand or head down - the chances are good that they'll come to bits. You have WAY too much faith in the strength of the human body. What may damage the rig are things like connector links, but such damage is relatively minor. It's also going to need a good wash. It'll be months till you get the rig back. t It's the year of the Pig.
  10. OK then! t It's the year of the Pig.
  11. Bummer... t It's the year of the Pig.
  12. Interesting. The Skorpion is similar ir seems. Chambered in 7.65 (Or .32 ACP if you prefer) it's rate of fire is very high, and controlablity is an issue. If the protagonist is 10 feet away though - it's good kit. (It was issued to Soviet block vehicle crews before the cut down AKM's took favour. t It's the year of the Pig.
  13. Bwwwahahahaha!!! You're kidding, right? t It's the year of the Pig.
  14. Chicken. t It's the year of the Pig.
  15. And I wear an AAD anyway... but I'm interested to see where the line lies... if you know what I mean. t It's the year of the Pig.
  16. Thanks for the info. Our D licence requires Night FS, several 8 ways and at least one 16 way. I see they're big on Accuracy. Our Pro requires 10 consecutive Nominated dives in a 5 m circle, including one from a low exit (2000ft) and one with a Flag - on the sized canopy you'll be doing the demo on. (So you can't use a 290 for the Pro rating and go jump your 107 into the stadium..) Your 0.5 m requirements - are they nominated and consecutive and on the gear you use every day, or can I count the ones I got lucky on, or use an Acc canopy for those dives? t It's the year of the Pig.
  17. The numberplate - and a couple of other things... I don't agree with the colorado plates. they look like WA to me - and there are a few plants which are not native to the US.. t It's the year of the Pig.
  18. So what are the e licence requirements? I hold PASA AFF I TMV SL JM SL I Pro Ratings. I've been a USPA AFF I but since I havn't been in the US for 5 years let that rating lapse. I have 1200 AFF dives, 700 Tandems, 600 CRW dives, 300 camera dives, and about 1000 FS dives. I've been to a World Meet (in Oz) and done a 40 way (in Oz) and some bigger stuff in the rest of the world. The rest of my dives are Student jumps and demo's, I guess. If I need to jump to show my competance - then I need to wear an AAD on that dive - right? Catch 22... t It's the year of the Pig.
  19. I'm seeing a lot of "Pre-ban" and "Post ban" stuff. What does that mean? t It's the year of the Pig.
