    Kaballah

Are you kidding? Maddona/Oral tradition? t It's the year of the Pig.
  2. There are times being a leftie are a good thing... t It's the year of the Pig.
  3. Hey Kato, Where in Africa were you born? I'm African. 8 generations born and raised in Africa. I'm white. You're a Black American. I'm a white African. I know more about African culture, the bush and the land here than you will ever know - and you know more about the US than I will ever know. Be proud of who you are now - not of where your ansestors were 100's of years ago. Those are my thoughts, anyway. t It's the year of the Pig.
  4. Thanks! I've hit a few flat spots over the years, but there is so much in skydiving that we can all find things we're bad at - and if we work at them - we get better! Being bad at things reminds us of being a student - and helps me relate better to my students. I also like that there are "New Kings" in different disiplines - and as long as we respect each disipline - and the fact that we're all skydivers - the sport just looks better and better!
  5. I'd go for the GTi. I have around 50 wingsuit dives now, mainly on Classics (mine) and GTi's. (Borrowed) I have 4200 dives, and do around 400 a year at present, weekends only. I have 65 jumps so far this month, so I'm quite current. I've ordered a S3, and in the 3 months it takes to build one and get it to Africa, I'll do another 40 - 50 wingsuit dives. I'll be ordering a Gti in July, and maybe even a Phi when they're released - and I'm not selling my classic. The vast majority of my wingsuit dives have been solo's - which was pivotal in my choice of suit. Bottom line is I'm a little obsessed right now. If my AFF student is 5 min late - I'm kitting up for a wing suit dive. No need to "rush" those AFF briefings, you know! t It's the year of the Pig.
  6. Of course, it should be noted that all those who are in criminal prisons in the US have been convicted by a jury of their peers. Many prisoners in Iraq have not even been charged. t It's the year of the Pig.
  7. Done. t It's the year of the Pig.
  8. And it certainly won't stop you from killing people at weddings, or help bring back the 30 000+ innocent civilians killed in Afganistan and Iraq in the past 2.5 years. If I give free medical attention to 200 000 people for a lifetime, and then I kill my neighbor in a fit of rage - do they try me? What do you think? t It's the year of the Pig.
  9. You're only screwed when you are. You could always just tell her she's a bit chunky for your taste but has a nice personality, and politely decline. As Nancy said... "Just say NO." t It's the year of the Pig.
  10. I thought about this, but the bottom line is I've used 5 different suits - and have had no heading control issues, except for the 3 dives done on this one. I've solved the problem by simply not jumping it. t It's the year of the Pig.
  11. I'm not a rigger. Offhand, I'd stop using that handle. I see from your sig line that you have a last line of defence - but you wouldn't need it if you listened to that little voice that should be saying "Sooner or later that handle is not going to be accesable when I need it - and then I'll be roundly screwed up the arse with a rough stick.." t It's the year of the Pig.
  12. Keeping up with the Joneses? Didn't Aerodyne release a 100 Smart? t It's the year of the Pig.
  13. Mmm. You had me conviced there - right up to the second last line.. (But I jump a Mirage - so I'm in your risk pool now..) t It's the year of the Pig.
  14. Being shot at a wedding sucks... Umm.. In Gulf War part 1, the Brits lost more men to the US than they did to the Iraqi's. The US always hits what they shoot at. Sometimes they just shoot at the wrong thing. Sometimes too often when compared to other contingents worldwide. In Gulf War part 2, they put the US and UK in different sectors, so the freindly fire would be more friendly. t It's the year of the Pig.

    Vigil Letter

I got it as well... Must have been quite a mail shot... t It's the year of the Pig.
  16. Well if you feel that way - then why don't you suggest to your government that they withdraw from the Geneva convention? The US don't recognise the World Court anyway - so there will never be a US charged with war crimes. The US Military code of justice does not even have a clear definition of rape - so soldiers can't be charged with it. And your enemy is already executing civilians on the web and ripping your "contractors" to bits. Just a thought. A start down that slippery slope Billvon mentioned. No one will stop you. You're too big. Too powerful. And Power corupts. Absolut power? Well... you know the end of that one, don't you? t It's the year of the Pig.
  17. Yeah... You're right there. One would think that having a big enough WMD arsenal to destroy the planet and the ability to invade a country on false/faulty intel would be power enough... But no. One needs to sodomise some dude with a glowstick - without even asking him a single question... t It's the year of the Pig.

    I am in Pain

True...That and my right 1st rib is still broken and too far out of alignment to ever heal itself... but its never kept me out of the sky! "One careful owner" is not what's written in the cover of my bodies operating manual! See you in the sky, t It's the year of the Pig.
  19. You can keep me from fighting - I promise. My name is Eric Stratford Stephenson My Rank is Able Seaman My serial number is 78501772 BT. There we go. No more wars for me! t It's the year of the Pig.
  20. In an attempt to answer, I'll give the US structures the benefit of the doubt in that the troops in question were 'softening up' the Iraqi prisoners for interrogation. Being lead around naked on a leash by a woman must be one of the most humiliating things a Muslim man could experience. Similarly having a woman make fun of his exposed genitals. Rape, same-sex interaction (even simulation), sodomy - these are all very strictly forbidden, and as a result, extremely humiliating to a Muslim. Very effective as a 'softening up' tactic, in my opinion. OK - So if that's true, then these are not a few people out of control. They're following a doctrine given to them by someone. The only question remaining, is why were the prisoners NEVER interogated? (Read the latest Time magazine Special report - they were never asked a single question.) t It's the year of the Pig.
  21. Name, Rank and serial number. Doing ANYTHING to extract more info than that is torture. t It's the year of the Pig.
  22. From Bush's 2003 SOTU: "International human rights groups have catalogued other methods used in the torture chambers of Iraq: electric shock, burning with hot irons, dripping acid on the skin, mutilation with electric drills, cutting out tongues, and rape. If this is not evil, then evil has no meaning." OK, so that's 3 out of 6 in a year. How long was Saddam in power? And I still don't get the sex thing... t It's the year of the Pig.
  23. So... It's clear to me now that the torture/humiliation thing is widespread and encouraged by those in command. That being Guatanamo, Afganistan and Iraq. I can understand (but not condone) people's desires to extract information from the enemy. I know that more conventional forms of torture are electrocution, water boarding, suffocation, beating etc. and that some are authorised as "acceptable" by the White House after 9/11. Sodomy with a glowstick? Sticking fingers in the prisoners ass? Forcing or simulating sexual acts between prisoners? What the fuck is that? What kinds of people do that? t It's the year of the Pig.
