    My hairy moment several years ago on jump 178. I am on my final and just doing a straight in approach. At about 500 ft, I get Slammed by a dirt devil without the dirt. I never saw anything on the ground. So my canopy's right side collapses, Both my toggles get knocked out of my hands. I instinctively reached up and grabbed both rear risers and pump and pump and pump. Finally the damned thing is flying again, looking over to my left I am level with the power lines. They are only about 30 ft above the ground!!! Never give up! Then I realized that I owed beer for getting my azz almost whipped by a dirt devil. Blue Skys this weekend to all! Don't go away mad....just go away!

    Visibility to others is always a night jump concern. I found a xenon strobe at Radio Shack for $20 and it's not bigger than a D cell battery. Have a great night jump! Don't go away mad....just go away!

    Heck....everything is dangerous! Just driving to the DZ is the most dangerous part! I know of three people that broke thier ankles while walking on a golf course, stepped in a hole and snap. My cousin & his wife are driving on the Galveston Seawall. He spies a lust-o-liscious binkini babe and BAMMM!!!! runs the car into a light pole. Now that's dangerous!     twas after a jet jump a few years back at Quincy. saw a canopy split in half by another jumper.... chop chop and the reserve was open very very low. if fact we thought the guy was going to spud in. Don't go away mad....just go away!

    I agree about this price difference. Used to be a lot more spread. However I have about 950 jumps on Dolphins and have been happy with them. I have never had a problem with the container. But since I am now into speedskydiving.... Don't go away mad....just go away!
