I think that other guy mentioned something reasonable in the article...it seems more to be the advancement of these neomarxist beliefs, more than a time of rememberance...it's not mourning so much as a protest, like they mentioned. I do agree that being overly patriotic can detract from the significance of the event, but this is just over the top rediculous, working towards promoting this person's own political agenda. If they are that afraid of offending anyone, they should just not do anything on Wednesday. Ok, this is just fucked up... Guy out at Perris was jumping a tube today...a $700 tube. He had to release it for some reason, and followed it down. He saw where it landed, and by the time he reached it in the car that came to pick him up, there was a car peeling away from the scene with the tube inside. I don't think stealing is right in any case, but robbing banks, convenience stores, jewelers, etc., I can stretch my imagination and understand a little bit...the allure of being rich and not having to work for it, etc. Why the hell would someone steal something just for the sake of stealing something when they don't even know what the hell it is??? What the hell would someone think they would be able to do with a big fabric gofast can??? They can't even know that it's worth as much as it is... I just don't get it. What if I was, God forbid, injured or worse on my 7th jump. Wouldn't they say "he was injured skydiving?" --------------------- A) I feel funny arguing about the definition of a skydiver with someone who has done a couple of tandems. B) Of course, if you are injured skydiving, then it will be said that you were injured skydiving. C) Being injured waterskiing does not make me a waterskier. Being injured racing my friend on the road does not make me a racecar driver. Being injured having sex with a goat does not make me a goat f**ker. Oh, wait a second...strike that last one. The more you know in this sport, the more you realize you don't know. Me learning to play Flight of the Bumblebee, although impressive, would not make me a concert pianist. Being a skydiver isn't your number of jumps, or awards won, it's a state of mind. Being in the sport 10 years does not make you a skydiver, but being a skydiver will keep you in the sport for 10 years.
