The class was a bit boring... Turned Out I was one of the lucky ###s just like a piss test. Did I say it was boring. They identified how to tell if someone was going to commit suicide and so on... Kind of funny but one of the ways to tell if someone is thinking of suicide is getting you affairs in order. So all you military types out there. Im watching you for suicide. Also loss of interest in your hobbies and just plain losing interest could be a sign of suicidal tendencies. So if you are thinking of quiting skydiving that would be a suicidal idea Anyways Skydiving to me is not suicidal...I have 2 parachutes...if I wanted to commit suicide I would jump with a rocket!! Im starting to wonder about the military and its outlook on skydivers... Im a Air Force Guardsman and of course we have to serve our one weekend a month and each of those weekends are full of training. Well anyways today Im at work at the base on a friday...wonder way? we usually dont come into work on friday. Well I just found out that I have to attend a suicide awareness class at 0900. Guys that work with me are giving me a hard time because I am 1 out of 5 for the entire base that have to go to the class... Little weird Im thinking. So, What does everyone think about this... is skydiving suicidal?

I know a few riggers...mostly Air Force. I work on C-130s which I am sure you are familiar with. I have been a Crew Chief on them for more than 4 years and have served more than 1 year in country in the Iraci and Afgan theater. I have see many of you guys and think that you have a great job... Being a combat engineer would be nice in its way...but like one of the other vets that have posted in here has said dont run into the firefight. Just think that every pack you rig up you are doing your duty just the same as the soldier in combat... Each of us have our job to make the mission possible. Ive seen the dead and the wounded as we hauled them out of Iraci cities and I am thankfull that those men and women have put their lives on the line to save our way of life. Do what you think is right for you and dont let anyone else step in your way. Ohhh...thank you to the tanker that posted earlier for you service. I may run into you one of these days so good luck... first do you have Windows, linux, mac os...if you have windows it is really easy for you to do on your own... all the others will take a little time. If you have window xp you have it really easy. First you need to back up all your important data and anything else you dont want to loose and then find your restore disks that came with the computer. I looked at them all and found AFF to be the best for me... it is what you are willing to do and spend. Seems that you pay just about the same for the A-license either way. I wonder how a landing would be with no glasses at all?
