I agree completely. Funny how parent can take their children skiing or swimming, but skydiving is viewed entirely from a different perspective.

Here's a speed bag photo. -
Married with children, she's sexy thin and has an active libido, and the college degree provides plenty of disposable cash. Sorry!

I doubt it. Scott most likely got caught up in the swift current of marriage and its obligations. A stick built house in California costs a considerable amount of money these days, and I'm sure his wife and mother in law were doing everything their way! Maybe he had a spot in the garage for his tools and things that he could arrange to his liking, but the house he was going to pay on forever was not going to be arranged to his liking. And like many marriages, his probably had little or no sex in it either...nothing but bills and the mortgage for Scott; his life of choice was history, and if he did find some personal time, there likely was little money left over from the two ladies playing house...and soon a baby. Henry David Thoreau once said, "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." Unfortunately, Scott was not quiet.

I think you're right on the money. Fresh white meat from the suburbs with a dash of celebrity...a fine dish indeed and best when served up scared. One can easily imagine his paisley face when he's confronted with his first water moccasin.

Used to be that all you needed was your logbook(s) when visiting a new dropzone, but the USPA club doesn't want you to use our public airspace unless you grease their wheels with membership and licensing fees. Sadly, the current generation doesn't object to being controlled.

In San Jose, CA years ago, I went with a girlfriend to her employer's Christmas party; her boss commented that his son wasn't too bright, and that he just wanted the kid to get a degree in basket weaving or something so that he wouldn't spend his adult life working at 7-11 and living with mom and dad.

John Desantis/Michael Hawkes lawsuit

This is the problem with having to join a club to gain access to public airspace. Once again the lawyers are the clear winners. Why do we put up with this sort of self inflected punishment? -

This is an insurgency, right? -
Good thing you put in the effort for a scientific education; think of "joe sixpack" down on the union bench who can't, or won't, improve his job skills.

You missed an auction for a nice *first* rig; you might be able to contact the seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7113563904

Would you really put yourself in this position?

I just paid-off my student loan; I sent the last payment in 3-weeks ago. Borrowing money, even for school, should be taken very seriously. I owe on a mortgage...but that is it, and the payments now are roughly 50/50, principal and interest, and my credit cards all have zero balances...my FICO score was 788 six months ago...maybe 800+ now.

How to piss off credit card companies and get away with it.

Here's some interesting reading regarding credit cards http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/credit/ -
Browse over to your local county assessor's website. They should have some spreadsheets of the tax base, number and value of homes sold within the county by year, etc., as this is public information.

How do we stop all the corruption in this world?
rmsmith replied to akarunway's topic in Speakers Corner
The protector becomes a tyrant, is a well known transition. "The people always have some champion whom they set over them and nurse into greatness. This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector." Plato (c. 427–347 BC), Greek philosopher. Socrates, in The Republic, bk. 8, sct. 565 -
Who did our forefathers consider to be, "them?" "The people always have some champion whom they set over them and nurse into greatness. This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector." Plato (c. 427–347 BC), Greek philosopher. Socrates, in The Republic, bk. 8, sct. 565

The canvassing of voters with ballot problems should have been clearly defined as a non-partisan practice, not an effort with filled-in ballots ready for a signature while being observed by a party official. It worked like this: "Hello, are you a Gregoire supporter?...No?...thank you...bye!" Or like this: "Hello, are you a Gregoire supporter?...Yes?...well, your ballot had technical problems, but we have another one already filled-in...just sign right here!" When you vote, does someone hand you a filled-in ballot and watch you sign it? Most voting stations are designed for privacy, i.e., liberty and are free from coercion.

First, 1.4:1 is not lightly loaded. Second, you will need to start selecting a runway...not a spot in the landing area. On the bright side, you'll find the Crossfire's front riser tension is lighter, and it will dive longer than you're used to with the Safire. You'd be wise to seek-out a couple of experienced canopy pilots at your DZ to bring you up to speed safely.

Well what did you expect, an Iraqi crying about the Marines who are killing the insurgents who are killing Iraqis?

How far away is the dropzone?

The issue is money v. time. You can usually get the attention of your favorite manufacturer for $60-$80 per hour to work with you on a custom fitted product. If you have the money, it's usually worth every cent.

The "million mom march" uses fuzzy math too.

I guess they weren't impressed with Vladimir Putin's election victory as his subsequent government reforms makes the EU uneasy. Might as well stay close to those subsidized modern medicines for their aging populations. The EU has lots of Muslims within its borders, so might as well stay aligned with someone who can and *will* strike back anywhere on the planet; remember the EU response in the former Balkans -- they started using "bold fonts" in their harshly worded statements -- the U.S. delivered the decisive strikes barely tapping its resources. Like it or not, U.S. productivity makes for a decent investment climate too.
