  1. A domain or local group policy with the setting pointing to a network share will solve that problem.
  2. Most couples actual rate of saving is below the current rate of housing appreciation in many markets. This is what is driving people to sign up for these crazy mortgages. The eventual fall-out from this will easily surpass that of the savings and loan collapse.
  3. This is good information; the most important move is to buy into a home that is affordable to your *emergency* budget. Today, it is very tough for younger couples, even with good educations, to get into a starter home. Amazingly, the Fed says, there's been little inflation during the past five years, and the real estate agents say, now is a great time to buy!
  4. There is a drafting course called Descriptive Geometry. The challenge is being able to "see" 3D objects in planar form. An example: a sheet metal exhaust hood over a commercial stove, which is a transition from a rectangular entrance into a circular duct that is offset too!
  5. Not a chance! Picture111 isn't a *real* blond.
  6. And automobile prices reflect this benefit too.
  7. And you could still submit absentee ballots!
  8. Maybe in the same sentence was confusing. I used to repossess cars for a living, and the debtors were generally vociferous in nature and brusk when challenged to verify a claim. Many low (or no) income people consume society's resources on a scale that exceeds that of steady wage earners, and they still have trouble becoming self sufficient due to "poor" character. For example, the typical repo would be a camero with custom wheels, lots-n-lots of music cd's, plenty of cigarette butts...and a baby seat. Money isn't an issue here, try character!
  9. The point this person is trying to make is that the "poor" need lots of space because their behavior is often brusk and vociferous. And poor doesn't mean lack of money, simply a lack of desirable character.
  10. They do this because that's how they survive; they're counting on 'em for future support. In San Jose, CA the educated chinese move their elderly parents from their homeland, and promptly place them in adult communities...and Social Security picks up the tab!
  11. Jimmy Carter and Stansfield Turner did in four years what will take at least fifty years to repair.
  12. From the linked article: Hersh identified those inside people as the "neoconservative" civilian leadership in the Pentagon. That includes Rumsfeld, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and Undersecretary of Defense Doug Feith -- "the sort of war hawks that we talk about in connection with the war in Iraq."
  13. I'd look the Prague, Czech Republic. There are these blond ladies of Jewish ancestry who are smart, very well built, enjoy sex, and tend not to become overweight.
  14. I didn't realise that a license was require to be "off-roading" in the first place; I rode a mini-bike for years before I was even able to get a driver's license.
  15. Robin did indicate that he consulted a number of high performance pilots before writing the article, so I doubt that he's shooting from the hip. Robin has been around for a long time at major all-season dropzones, and he has done his share of contributing to the sport many compelling articles prior to the popular use of the Internet.
  16. That's too bad. I wonder if this is a liability/lawsuit issue, or something unfortunate like the shoe maker's kids being barefoot?
  17. Years ago I had a nice Racer with a Pegasus disappear on me following a night of hard partying. In addition, I still had one year of credit card payments to make on it.
  18. Hi Chris, DHCP = Dynamic Host Configuratio Protocol NAT = Network Address Translation LAN = Local Area Network WAN = Wide Area Network You should have a (firewall/router) box with two ports, labeled WAN and LAN. The WAN is the untrusted Internet side, and it should be configured as a DHCP client or you enter the fixed IP numbers issued to you by your ISP. The LAN is your home network side, and it should be configured as a DHCP server, and your two PC's should be configured as DHCP clients. Your LAN side should be using a non-routable IP range like 192.168.xxx.xxx, and a subnet range of 255.255.255.xxx,, which is specified in the LAN's DHCP server setup. All setup is usually done from a web browser using an address like http://192.168.1.1 or something close to that...read the manual.
  19. Sorry about the job loss, PhillyKev. Did you work for a firm who have clients or share holders who are pro-Israeli? This sort of retaliation is typical in financial firms, in the University system, and particularly in the publishing industry. Quick Search
  20. No, I wasn't kidding. I'm supporting a family and household on one income, and it isn't easy to do these days. And just pumping money into it isn't enough either; it's hard to believe anyone could manage a home life and work life that appear to be so far apart. I used to work in the collection business, and it was interesting to read some of the detailed credit reports concerning a debtor's downfall.
  21. How do these kind of families afford their lifestyles of wanton medical care and unchecked childbirth? Who is the irresponsible enabler?
  22. Nothing gives you up faster than bad teeth and/or cheap shoes!
