  1. See Here For Story -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  2. I've given a great deal of thought to this topic for a couple of days now because i wanted my response to be well thought out, and well recieved. I think instead of trying to figure out a way to fix this situation, maybe we should disscuss how to follow the safety rules and let our training kick in so it never presents itself. I can't count the times i check my chest strap, legstraps and hackey before exit. The "Big Three" three buckles - three straps - three rings. PHT at least once during each dive to insure proper and insurable location of your hacky or PUD. Drill....Drill...Drill....and please watch your co-skydiver's gear as you would yours, because their gear being right may affect the outcome of your skydive. Hope this helps. Be safe, -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  3. Yeah, ya jnow getting your crank yanked isn't any fun. I can certainly understand why everyone is angry, but try to bear in mind that the full story hasn't been told. I've seen this story run the gamut of emotions, from everyone being sad to a lot of people wanting to kick Scott's ass. I'd like to think we're all a little more articulate than that. Understand people go through things, we don't understand them. Let this family heal. Let's hear Scott's explanation, if he so desires to offer, he certainly doesn't owe us one. I will give Tom and the DZ.COM staff props for their tireless efforts throughout this entire ordeal. It most certainly was a Roller Coaster Ride Of Emotions. Regardsless of who feels what, The young man is alive and has time to fix whatever's wrong if anything, who knows maybe someone played a bullshit trick on him? Let time do it's thing here, we've all been patient so far. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

  8. Just wondering, is he so overwhelmed with grief that he would turn himself in? I thought not. I've already said, if this is the "Pact" or "Agreement" made between BASE jumpers prior to making any subsequent jumps, so be it. BUT not giving the next of kin the X's & Y's is horrific. GPS devices are just too stinking cheap. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  9. It's actually no point of litigation for me. Unless they're forging the sticky tabs and stickers themselves, the vehichles were made where they are stated they are made. In fact, an ironic point, GM is advertising in Television Commercials how the new Tahoe is being made in the Arlington Plant, not only by Americans, but by Texans. So take from that what you will. I guess if their liars, they're liars? Again, the arguement is foreign manufacturers building plants on American soil, and selling their product to Americans after having Americans build their product for them and having the majority of share holders living elsewhere than in the US of A. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  10. I am very saddened by your loss. I know i will soon lose my parents and mom and dad in law as well, and i'm NOT looking forward to it. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Take Care, God Bless you and your family in this time of loss in your family. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  11. I lease the things anyway, i never buy them. And i don't pay anymore than i want to. O.K. ya had me there for a moment. My wife just got home. I crawled in, around and under the Tahoe, it says "Made In USA By Americans" all over it. It was built in Arlington, Texas. The Vette was made in Bowling Green Kentucky, and the truck was made in Arlington, Texas as well. What this tells me, is that automobile manufacturer's are more cognicant of the fact that Americans want "American Made...By Americans" Look what happened to John DeLorean when he went to Ireland to build his cars, if he would just have stayed home, who knows? Additional Text: Don't get me wrong, i'm all about free trade as long as it's not one sided. In the case of the Japaneze, it's most definitely one-sided. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  12. I just bought a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ Saturday. I purchased a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1/2 ton LT Crew Cab Pickup 6 months ago, and last but not least a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 3 months ago. All of which are well made by Americans, in plants built in America, by Americans, and sold in Car Dealerships that were built in America, and owned by Americans. And all of the vehichles i traded in were Chevrolets as well. See where i'm going with this? I don't agree with this statement. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  13. That's too funny! *Cough* it was the other posters who were cracking wise, not me! -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

No one cares about you anymore Pop. Where's Stanley? -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  15. Your missing the point i'm trying to make. Yeah, they're working for a foriegn car company. All they will ever have is a paycheck. A foreign car company will hardly do anything to help bolster "Made In America" by americans, but it's a foreign brand car. When do you think the Germans will build a Porsche factory. Italians build a Lamborgini factory? That won't happen, because they take pride in their cars being made by their citizens. A Japaneze car is hardly a Japaneze car if it's built here by American laborers, and owned and managed by the Japaneze. Don't ignore the fact that 3rd world countries are utilizing our soil for their own benefits. I mean, they're not here because it's fun. And we're SELLING OUT. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  16. I get it!! Your invisible! -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  17. O.K. So i'm not Donald Belasario! Crime Drama it is!
  18. I can see how the associate who left this gentleman behind was probably scared to death. So, what do you do? I doubt the "Aggresive D.A." would understand the "Base Code" or any unwritten law and protocol. That said i can hardly fault the guy that left with the understanding that he and the jumper that was killed had that agreement in place beforehand. He should have however given the family the X's & Y's to locate his body. That part REALLY bothers me. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  19. Why? I would love to think that we as Americans are as intelligent as anyone in Japan, or anyother country in the world. How long will this last? All of the people who will migrate south after the automobile plants close down and there is no where else to work sooner or later a union will more than likely be formed. What are your thoughts. The way i see it, it costs way too much money to do anything, or build anything here in the USA that outsourcing and allowing the "Invaders" to come on our soil and build their vehichles and sell them to us seems to be trendy, that's sad. Our govenor Rick Perry, and our President GWB swear to god our borders are secure. Over 3,500 illegal immigrants cross the Rio Grande and enter our borders everyday. No wonder our farmers are going broke. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
  20. This is carzy. This is not isolated to the automobile industry. I've raised Cattle all of my life. The major cattle ranch owners in the midwest are selling thier dairy farms and cattle ranches in droves at a fair profit margin to the Japaneze. It's no secret the American farmer is going under as well. Why? I'm not real clear on this other than the foriegners have more $$$ than americans, they have a small country and their sick of eating fish? How is it we can't stay in business, running our own automobile plants, employing our own citizens. I see a lot of outsourcing and foriegners coming to the USA, building automobile manufacturing plants and are now building their vehichles here, employing OUR citizens. WHAT!?!?! (David Letterman) I see casing that we run in the ground in our oil and gas wells in the USA, it's all Japaneze steel, Nippon steel. WHAT!?!? (David Letterman) Volkswagons being manufactured in Mexico. WHAT!?!? (David Letterman) We're shooting ourselves in the foot. Where does it stop? Henry Ford is the one that dreamed up the assembly line to "produce cheap cars for all americans" He insisted that every American have an automobile. He's probably doing barrell rolls in his coffin right now. It's Sad. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
