Something I've seen happen at which I still shake my head is getting someone with about 50 jumps with a group of six or so, and then making him/her a diver. They usually get an incredible view of the formation as they pass by. Seems like it would be more beneficial if you put them in the base and make sure they get in the formation first. Then don't do any piece work to increase their experience. But sometimes at a small DZ, you have to do strange things to accomodate. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Also forgot, "Jump an airlocked, but not one of Brian's." I jump a Vengeance. I enjoy it very much. The more I jump and learn, the longer the swoops. Opening forces are great, but you do have to fly every opening to opening. I see it as a nice intermediate step before a x-braced canopy. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I currently have a PC101, firewire, s/w, and have ordered a camera helmet (2K FF2). I have never shot video, but would like to start, initially at least, not for money, tandems, or teams. I enjoy and do mostly RW and would like to start by shooting from inside the formations. I have done formations from 2-ways to 40-ways and feel very comfortable with my skills. I realize I will need a .3 lens for best results and plan to get one. My question to you is: What input do you have on how to get the best video, how to progress, advisability of this approach, techniques, areas on which to focus, … Thanks in advance. Shit happens.
