I guess that is our handicap in this evolution. Of course I remember watching an F-18 doing an after-burner take-off during Desert Storm and had the newscaster say he was coming in for a landing with his "thruster boosters" on. If the Iraqi's are smart, they will take everything with a grain of sand (nice tie-in, huh?) and assume all hell is getting ready to rain down on them. They'll probably be just as accurate. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Since you're in Hawaii, ask Max what he liked best about Thailand. Clarence, too. You may get both ends of the spectrum. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I don't know if it has helped, but I am taking glucosamine and chondroitin and have slowly been able to start running again. Oh yeah, the official military stand on that is you could get mad cow disease. (Hell, I may already have it.) Also increased low impact (bike and plan to increase swim) workouts. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I think he use to post as Short&Quik, for what it's worth. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

That looks like the tenth grade did a field trip to the airport. Gawd, do I feel oldish. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

And isn't there something about a place called Orient Beach down there? Can't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason, I remember it is outstanding. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

And then he was, so the question is what happened? Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

So does that mean no 4-way this weekend? No RW? No flatflying? What a loadacrap that whole thing was. I wonder if the average person was more interested in the stupid ball drop or the 300-way. I'm sure they could have found a human interest story or two in there. "Next on Ripley's Believe It or Not, 300 skydivers attempt to meet in midair. Over 200 of these people are known to have had an alcohol problem!" Too much, too little, either way, it's a problem. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Mama, do your kids have an Email address? I want to send them some advice. Don't listen to your parents...well I never. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Have you ever gone low unintentionally?

About 800th jump, I heard the flat line on my Time-Out. Got engrossed in the jump and tracked my usual length of time. Only once. Never again. Was I scared? That's between me and the person who does my laundry. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -
I think one of the benefits of Skydiving is their more indepth coverage of incidents and mishaps. Parachutist tends to gloss over items, whereas Skydiving will print interviews with people, print names, and print opinions. They do not seem beholden to group members. I feel it is closer to the total truth; a real growth vehicle. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

How about "its" and "it's" and "good" and "well"? Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Special Forces or Special Ops? They use to be different. Special Forces were Army Green Berets. Special Ops were from whatever services supporting other ops. I believe Task Force 160 was SpecOps, but not Special Forces. Oh yeah, and Bob Hope was Special Services. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I don't see this as not-yet-bombing related. Maybe the penguins told him to do it. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -
I wear a 7 3/8 and I have a Z1 and it works for me. I have also made the mistake of leaving the plane with the visor up (Thanks, team) and put it down in freefall with no problem. Never tried an Oxygn, but I really like my Z1. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Scary to think where the losers have to go. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -
Which part of the dive do you enjoy more?

Use to be the freefall, but then I bought a smaller canopy and discover its front riser. That can turn a jump with a funneled exit into a good skydive. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -
This doesn't make it right, but it makes ya smile. Going down! Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

112, and I don't think I will be answering yes on anymore in the near future. I use to be a fungi. Like Adam Sandler said, "What the hell happened to me?" Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I love stories that start like that. Going from a Sabre of one size to a Stiletto of the same size is definitely the way the experts would recommend doing it. I find it hard to believe, however, that someone with 100 jumps has rung out a Sabre loaded around 1.2 -1.3:1. At 100 jumps, he might be just starting to perfect the landings on that thing. He will find a lot more forgiveness on the front risers of a Sabre than he will on a Stilletto. And if he wants to switch to a Stiletto at 100 jumps, I have to believe he has the mindset necessary to be doing front riser turns to final. Stick with the Sabre for at least another 100 jumps would be my advice. To your friend. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

The article in Skydiving said they tested it under these conditions (back-to-earth) and it worked. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Multiple DZ's at the same airport
flyhi replied to PhreeZone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We were discussing that yesterday, as a matter of fact. We decided that whereever there is a DZ, there is a group of skydivers who are pissed at the DZO. Eventually this level is elevated to critical mass and erupts in a second dropzone. We also decided that the second dropzone's probability of success is directly related to the fanfare or "buzz" with which it opens. The bigger the buzz, the shorter the life. Again, our conjecture was economic Darwinism, the second DZ will remain open only if the rules of capitalism so dictate. Passion is great in an endeavor, but someone with an MBA wouldn't hurt, either. For awhile in Hawaii, there were three dz's and a club all within about 150 m of each other. And for multiple years, the economics supported that. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -
It all makes sense, now. Since they "mulled over" the impeachment, they were mullers, or, as mispronounced in New England, "mullahs", which, as we all know are the higher clerics associated with the more evil aspects of the current situation. Seems crystal clear now. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
