    Moto GP

Indeed a great track. It is in the shape of the Chinese character "Shang" (as in Shanghai). I was at the race today, and it was fuuuuuuuuun!!! "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  2. I was searching for "Daisy.cum". In order to avoid such mistake in the future, I have since, needless to say, switched from Vodka to Absinthe... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  3. Was this particular event a BASE jump? "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  4. I had that same feeling a long time ago. Except that her name wasn't Target, but Jenny, or something like that. Small world, though...
  5. Don't lose.. your nerve. Breathe... keep breathing I can't do this.. alone "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  6. Ouch... Beaucoup ouch... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  7. Joyeux aniverbirththingie Fish. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  8. Jack was as much of a prick as any Union or organization leaders. He will be praised by most of the MPAA members, and vilified by most of his opponents. As far as rejoicing upon his death, I'm not quite convinced his legacy warrants such celebration. We're talking about DVDs, people! DVDs!!!! "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  9. I couldn't agree more. To the risk of being redundant,I am just explaining some of the thinking behind it, not justifying it. I think the DVD laws amount to pissing in the wind, and is part of the problem rather than the solution. And to drive my point across, I think I'm going to head to the local DVD store tonight, drop $20, and go home and watch my 25 newly acquired DVDs... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  10. Neither do laws prevent people from raping an albino midget, shooting someone in the head with a shotgun, or throwing a grand piano off the roof of a 20 story building. However, laws make such actions illegal, so that there are repercussions should someone do such things. It's the scaring factor they are aiming for. Otherwise, I'd be throwing albino midgets off buildings myself... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  11. I'm all for it. I was, once again, merely stating the thinking behind the fight. But you and I know that, should DVDs not be copy protected, one would make copies for all his/her friends, therefore diminishing the customers' pool considerably. Every industry is fighting for its profit. Nothing new to that... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  12. Let me make it a little clearer: Option A: it is illegal to make copies of copyrighted material without the expressed consent of such rights. That means that Chinese companies are not allowed to make copies, nor is Grue, nor is Frenchy. Option B: it is legal to make copies of copyrighted material, regardless of the rights owner's position on the issue. Then Grue, Frenchy, and Chinese companies have the right to do so. The outcome would probably be that Grue buys a Chinese version of a DVD (at 10% of the price of the US version), then makes his own personal never to be seen by anyone else copy. Of course, there is option C, which would state that you can only buy products made in specific countries by specified persons or companies. I am not advocating any particular one of these, as, as I stated earlier, I don't really give a rat's ass about the issue, at least not today. I am only trying to clarify the logic behind the late Valenti's relentless fight against copies, etc... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  13. Ding ding ding. Wanna cut back on piracy? Convince the governments in the places like China to actually give a shit about intellectual property and crack down on it. They copy EVERYTHING over there, from CDs to entire cars. Exactly!!!! So if you legalize copying DVDs, China WILL inundate the market. I pay $.80/DVD here. That means they could legally export them to the US, and they would sell at Wall Mart for around USD $1.50. Which means that within months, there wouldn't be any new DVDs coming out from film makers, being independent or studios. In this case, having copyrights infringement laws does NOT prevent individuals form breaking the laws, it prevents them from legally inundating the market. This said, I am only stating the reasons behind the action. I actually don't give much of a rat's ass what the situation ends up being... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  14. Although I have financially benefited from some of Valenti's stances, I wasn't a huge fan of his. HOWEVER... The thinking behind region coding is due to the fact that not all movies are released at the same time worldwide. Should a DVD version of a movie be released in one market prior the actual feature being screened in another market, it is easy to understand that DVDs would be floading the latter market, and box office would drop quite significantly. As for the inability for one to "copy" a DVD, that's pretty much a no brainer. For each person who does indeed make a copy for him/herself, there would be thousands of people making copies for distribution, and the DVD market would probably disappear within years. This said, region free and security cracked DVD players can readily be found in the US for around USD $100... 15. Sarkozy is probably going to take this one. Royal has very little reserves to the left, and I doubt she will get much of the center right vote. Sarkozy will probably get most of the center right vote, as well as most of the extreme right vote. If nothing else, whoever wins will be a political newcomer, which is very much welcome as far as I am concerned. The traditional left, which use to pride itself in being forward thinking, has become more reactionary than the right. France does need changes, and some radical ones. I personally like the character of Royal much more than Sarkozy, but would be concerned that should she be elected, she might have her hands tied on certain issues due to some of her electorate. Sarkozy: economically I do agree with some of his views. But although I also agree on some of the issues he points out, I do have major disagreements as to the remedies needed. But having new faces is certainly a welcome change in my opinion. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  16. Why is that? You know better. I have great experience in this field, just Google my name and you shall see for yourself. Any advice from anyone else is, at best, pure speculation. I, and only I, can rationalize that whole mess, weed out the BS, and come up with an irrefutable conclusion. You are not alone... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  17. DO NOT make a decision on how you will handle the situation until I give you my advice. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  18. Quit smoking aid / cigarette patches... Ingredients: Ginseng, Clove, Honeysuckle, Menthol, Wormwood Leaves Stay tuned... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  19. Indeed, corporate incentives certainly played a part in France's stance regarding Iraq. But so it probably did in the US decision to invade. Places with lesser geo-political or/and economical interest tend to get little attention (read Rwanda, Sudan, etc...). At the end of the day, however, what matters is whether you can justify to your people getting involved (or NOT getting involved) in a conflict, regardless of ulterior motivations. The US lost political credibility, and probably influence, with its involvement in Iraq. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  20. Purely a business decision. CBS felt they had more to lose by keeping him than by axing him. CBS plays the tune its viewers/listeners want to hear, which determines the ratings, therefore the price of air time for advertisers. Sharpton and Jackson plays the tune their audiences want to hear as well. I doubt Sharpton and Jackson had much to do with Imus' firing, regardless of the noise they made about his comments. People who faithfully listen to Imus will keep doing so, and people who vehemently dislike him will continue to do so. The ones who made the balance tip are the "non partizan" consumers, who would sometimes listen to Imus' show, but felt he went too far in this instance. Much like any elections. The sheeps on either side are meaningless. The swinging middle rules. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  21. Pu-leeeeze - Frenchy would be the first one to order one. I'd use it as a bed cover... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  22. Promises, promises... Then such canopies would become meatbomb magnets though... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  23. Turtle, have you heard whether Aerodyne is shipping their new canopy with ladyflyer77's body outline printed on it? According to them, it greatly reduces freefall/canopy collisions, as people in freefall tend to be looking for opened canopies from the time they leave the aircraft... aruba sucks

I don't see any aruba - - - I see a hottie in a white dress - am I missing something? Aruba must be the one in brown in the middle, with the big lips. Such lips would be consistent with someone repeatedly performing the action mentioned by JT. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
