Exactly. And the fact that Alonso is his team mate and Hamilton is ahead of him in the championship race is also a major event. Kudos (so far...) to McClaren for not giving "instructions" to its pilots... And to think that I have tickets to the Shanghai GP... I use a shovel myself, then straight to the triage bin. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

I'd rather trust people and be burned than walk through life not trusting anyone. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

Good! Now, to the risk of having this fine thread moved to another forum, I wish they would also do with unsolicited phone calls during political campaigns from the local runners. Having a VOIP phone registered in California while living 15 hours ahead of such location makes for painful electoral periods. Spam I can (mostly) block. Middle of the night calls I tend to pick up, especialy with my whole family living on a different time zone. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

Let me clear this all too common misunderstanding: Sunshine does NOT wear braces (at least not while performing roadhead). "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

No worries. Based on their qualifications, they will soon be recruited by the French "intelligence" services in charge of keeping Greenpeace and the Kiwis in check... a scorpio's tail can turn 360 degrees ...and be menacingly raised right above its head... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

Yet another example of the Uk going down the shitter....
Frenchy68 replied to MDMA's topic in Speakers Corner
Both. There are exceptions, of course. However, since China (like Japan) has a blood lineage system to determine citizenship, unless one of your parent is a mainland Chinese citizen, it is almost impossible to obtain citizenship. But for many reasons, even those who moved to China of their own will years ago tend to spend much more time among foreigners than locals. It is easily understandable, as assimilating the culture (including the language) requires lots of efforts, and even after 20 years trying, some are still struggling... People who were old enough to be aware of the events of 1989 do know about it (that would make them 30 something today). But it is true that Chinese history books omit the events. Interestingly enough, it seems that the events of 1989 actually prevented a return to a hard line communist regime, and somewhat allowed to pursue (albeit slower than in the 80's) the liberalization of Chinese society... Amazingly enough, the exact same thing is happening in China. I know of several foreigners who have been in China for years, and do not speak a word of Mandarin. They also tend to dodge local (as well as their original country's) taxes by getting paid on HK accounts. Human beings tend to stay away from "foreign" groups and gather with similar people. It is not an exclusivity of the non-Caucasian population. On a tangent, which citizenship would you then give them? "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

I couldn't agree more. I was merely speculating that the reasoning behind Piisfish inquiry was why would the jumper use such partial protection? Knowing that full protection is, other than for myself thanks to bliss and my hurtproof abilities, not available, what makes one decides on the level of body armor (including helmet) needed/acceptable, depending on the object, conditions, etc...? Legitimate inquiry I reckon. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

Although I know of at least one person with more metal in his skull than I listened when I was a teenager, I reckon Piisfish knows that head injury is bad juju. I think his question was more about wearing a helmet versus wearing full body "armor". Legitimate question I would think, as long as it remains non-judgemental. Congrats, but...http://www.rosswalker.co.uk/movie_sounds/sounds_files_20070211_107389/pulp_fiction/suck_dix.wav Now, on to 28. Some weird (foreign?) computer keyboard would be the easy guess. Does the Mac reference apply to 27 or 28? Thoughts anyone? Sit at any café, and order a Turkish coffee. Should be followed by a record dash for your life. And since you are running, head straight for the town of Marathon. Post your time, and if good enough, head straight to Beijing. Helpful was I?

Brilliant!

Has a musical approach been discarded? Single and double bars? Box could be a squeeze box? "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

On a tangent, in French, slang for nose is PIF (P??)... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

Funny stuff: some guy, while trying to solve the "best of times" floor, entered the wrong answer, but it took him all the way to floor 26, where he's been waiting for all to catch up ever since! Champions League Final: Liverpool FC vs. AC Milan
Frenchy68 replied to masterblaster72's topic in The Bonfire
I will ignore the insult, and reaffirm my unconditional love for my home team, Olympic Lyonnais, which, incidentally, will eventually make it to the final... Edited to add: congrats to AC Milan, they have a wonderful team.
