  3. On the other hand, do you know of a jumpship capable of flying 2 weeks ( besides balloons and Zeppelins ) ? I do understand the Read The Manual theory, but sometimes some stories are not logical. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  4. despite what some people above just posted, Icarus do not recommend jumping it at low wingloadings and "little" experience scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  5. Poor Michel. I'm thinking this may be the legacy he'll leave behind. The most fail attempts, with never getting off the ground. next failed attempt in 2011

  7. the "russians" or a big part of the so called eastern block use them a lot on trucks for snow/ice-fighting, and also apparently for fire fighting (Red Adair was pretty blown (intended) to see how they could put a fire off in seconds instead of hours) scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  8. where can we find these ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  9. they have a similar system on some swiss (military) airports, with the engine of retired jets monted on modified retired tanks
  10. Some people in some administrations should get a f*cking life.... from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinder_Surprise... The lady received a 7page letter asking for her authorization to destroy the egg scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  14. oh well at the DZ I used to call home, we had a jumper do a 4-in-1 jump.... started with wingsuiting then after his AAD fired he did some Solo-CRew continued by some tree ride and finished by a river swim scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

    Ghost3

of what I have been able to compare, Stealth2 and Ghost3 are around the same ... So if your "general wingsuiting" involves big suits, any of the above mentionned suits would do the trick. Otherwise I would recommend more a Phantom (which I am eager to try soon) If you like max time, I don't know what the Stealth is capable of with me inside, but the Ghost3 is about the max I can fly for now
  19. Just sent an email to Sandy and Brenda at Rigging Innovations, as the Aviator mentions 120days Parachutes Australia (Thinback) is a 8months maximum... Now if only our Federation/the German Federation would be kind enought to update the list.... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  20. thanks anyways, any info is good to take. The manufacturer instructions are nevertheless important to us, as this is how our deadline list is established. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  21. thank you Mark. As in Switzerland we are based on the German rules, and the last update of validity on their list was a 120 days for all emergency rigs (except 1 model of Spekon which was 180 days and another 1 year). 180days would be good for me (better than a year, makes for more practice) Would love to hear/read of the validity for ALL manufacturers, so our list could be updated. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  22. quick question concerning the validity of the bailout rigs. Manuals, for example, of a Softie I just packed, states 120 days. Would the validity have changed to 180 days now, or do the 180 days only apply to sport rigs ? As I still have a couple (or 15) rigs to pack for our local glider club, would be nice to know
  23. nice nice. Could you also show a pic of the winner ? To see WHAT could possibly beat 9ina scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  24. as of yesterday Alain's site wasn't up yesterday... but should be very soon. Looking forward to trying one of these VMAx soon
  25. with Cypres 1 + 2 I did not have any firing/shut off in cases of going up + down and fast turns etc, what I would imagine that happened in said helicopter flight scenario. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
