  1. most silly people have already put theirselves into nylon crack addiction at those 100-110 jumps :P
  2. I'd rather say not wait until two hundreds, but build yourself up into a right direction in those 90 jumps.
  3. still getting errors "video removed by user" :(
  4. second, third, whatever that! (though 157 seconds from 13k being under canopy at 3.3k is fun, but tiring)
  5. pilot 140, spectre 135 or 150.

    Finally!

S-Fly Expert I've put about 50 flights on it already w/o any issues, it is very fun suit to fly. I still think i did something wrong on exit, since i never practiced exits to back from tailgate before (though it isnt a problem at all when exiting to the door)

    Finally!

I've finally managed to fall into flatspin, on 200th flight - right after the exit on back from a tailgate heli. was fun, though for some reason i decided to get out from it pretty fast. :)
  8. Got some leak from vendor, you can check prototype here: http://shorpy.com/node/1063
  9. To add some more footage, check this youtube link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8MoxH8zX3F4 sm.com file will be avail once approved, as well.

  11. I bet next year competition will be way hot
  12. Two, Larisa and Kristina respectively. There was another girl in flocks, but i dont remember the name and she didnt join the competition.
  13. That's what I could remember. Among those with "?" there were about 4 or 5 phantoms, no sfly at all and rest are vampires, as a majority. 14. for top 10 - all were vampires except my phantom at 10th
  15. yes, altitude to time was judged using tracking derby, and the winner is being determined by best distance/GR with first 15 seconds cut and 90 seconds for the race itself. altitude to distance was measured as distance in 3600meters to 1600meters corridor, so it's basically just GR :)
  16. Here are the final results, if ya interested. http://www.ruexp.ru/1.xls. Thanks to organizers, that was awesome week :)
  17. clouds, while flying solo are most beautiful visuals you could ever see. That half-skywide halo of 5-7 circles, outermost being about 700 meters in diameter are really unforgetable. Not to mention absolutely psychodelic view of birdman shadow within a halo when you're moving closer to them. too bad you cant upload pics directly from within your brain %(
  18. I was flying over Kolomna this weekend, there was plently of clouds, and about -20c at 4km altitude at the morning, so, no wonder there was snow :) Visor wasnt iced though, since i jump in open-faced helmet :) What could be better than a cold bath at 8:30am? Also, it's very fun to exit the plane when you dont see ground at all. Even more fun, when you do a 50 seconds delay after jumprun spot and still end up your flight at the predetermined opening point. Ontopic - as for de-icing - apply internally, yes :D
  19. Of course, also in this case, my flight line is triangle's hypotenuse, while one leg is wind drift and other is my movement, right? And then goes google earth! :)
  20. Notsane, those are cool visuals when you fly downwind, but without gps or whatever you're unable to determine how effective you fly by yourself, and what's added by wind, right? Heading 90 degree to jumprun (and effectively crosswind) would allow to clearly see, how far could you fly. And seeing how far you can get by earth landmarks looks more interesting than sitting with paralog/optima/gps/whatever, looking at numbers. That's my point.
  21. 52nd to be precise. And u-turn seems to be quite flat, not that i do a half barrel and then dive down with a flip.
  22. By "back to dz" I mean spot slightly upwind from DZ, of course. As for high-openers, that's what we have eyes for, not? As for "divide by a half", idea is to push the limits slightly - i.e. do your best and improve, also, flight goes slightly better in lower airs, that's quite pronounced in 3k-6k range, so the point is a bit further than half.
  23. Question is mostly about solo performance flights. Flight plan is as following: Jump run goes upwind, you exit and fly 90 degree to jumprun, then make u-turn and fly back to dz. You go crosswind all the time and wind itself drags you back to dz, so you can concentrate on flight itself. Guys, how do you determine the point of u-turn in your flights? Answer "Practice." would suffice, of course, but it will be nice if you would share some tricks/thoughts. Thanks in advance, Vlad.
  24. pilot 140@1.2 here. both usual and full flight pitches are soft, onheading, stressless :D
