My AFF exits were simply Check in, Check out, Prop, Exit, .... No up down anything. I saw this in another thread. Sorry for appearing dumb but I dont understand 'prop' For your info, I did UP, DOWN, ARCH

I dont think you could get device dependancy from an AAD. Things like audibles yes. If you were relying on your AAD to initiate your deployment youd either be dead, grounded or damn rich to afford to keep having things replaced and repacked. I must admit the cost is a real bummer when im collecting my own gear, I was considering once on B licence and the one i bought has expired not bothering to replace it, but then I want to jump abroad so I guess I have to play the game Edited to add: I do appreciate the safety benefits but Id still jump without one if neccesary (ie was in for service)

erm, no. I find it thought provoking and putting the danger into perspective. First thing they said to us on ground school... "Whats the worst that could happen?" "Could die" "Yeah, but I can think of one worse than that. Being paralysed for the rest of your life. You accept that?" *gulp* "err, yeah." "Good! Then lets begin!" What you think of this canopy in terms of its suitablity for new jumper. Wing loading will be 1:1 Although not looking for extreme perfomance (obviously), would you consider this giving me enough scope to improve my canopy handling skills and have fun at the same time?

Its hardly monitoring your every move. If you choose to burgle someone, or commit rape, or assault someone. They have a good chance of knowing who the potential offender is. Not that im a DNA expert, but Im pretty sure DNA is not like an IP address where you can find out what that person is up to by looking into a crystal ball. I dont believe this nor registering criminals is an invasive abuse of human rights. It a preventative measure

What is wrong with a national DNA database!? Dont commit any crime and you wont get in trouble What malicious intent could they possibly have for obtaining DNA? Its not like you can generate DNA from scratch and plant it somewhere. Stop being so paranoid

Ahh yes, that well respected voice in British law and legislation, the town newspaper. What with such high authority on these matters I expect to see the law in place by July On a serious note, the people whos houses i've ever been too with swords or weapons like that have been fucking nutters obsessed with violence although Im sure their are the legitimate enthusiasts. Did my first BASE jump off the arm of the sofa. Was perfectly executed, ran out of altitude and went head down through the glass coffee table... yeoooch. Apparantly you could see my teeth through the hole above my top lip and below my nose. Who'd be a parent eh?

I went straight for AFF, no tandem, no SL or anything. It was great experience but in hindsight I wouldnt have minded doing a static line course. I know it might seem stupid but id like to experience a static line jump. I might make an enquiry once I got all my consols out the way

Hahaha, sorry for laughing dude. I know it sucks. I drove 20 mins to pick up a nice grirl I liked, 20 mins to back to my town. We had a good day. Things got a bit hotter, took back to my house. THought Id sweeten the moment and took my head downstairs. JESUS! THIS GIRL OBVIOUSLY NEVER HEARD OF FEMININE HYGIENE! Well, my shrink wrapped warrior died too. Whatever we tried after that didn't work. So I promptly drove her the 20 mins back to her house and I retired home. Im now sponsored by Colgate & Lysterine I didnt tell her the reason though, I tried to not let on, so no doubt she just thinks im inadequate. OK, it might be a bit of DZ culture where I am but they (Wings) are certainly very popular. Ive heard they are one of the most comfortable harness/containers you can buy too so Ive gone with it. I havent got silly amounts of money to spunk on equipment either. A new container was my treat. Interesting to see peoples different preferances. Just proves that you need to go out and get as much info and opinions as you can. Ideally try some or test jump them if possible and make your own mind up
