i like your idea about insurance companies v. victims! i was actually just working through the idea of uninsured v. insured. i have 2 days for research and completion so i need to stick with what i know - a combination of these 2 ideas could work perfectly

i seem to get the answer to every question i ever ask here, so here i am. i have a paper due in my sociology class on a modern day social/class conflict. specifically, i have to do a conflict analysis. i need 2 social groups - a dominant and an oppressed. in class we discussed the US fashion industry, undocumented workers, producer vs consumer, etc. i am having a hard time coming up with an original topic. everything i want to use is already being done. HELP! Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

newport news isn't a neccessary stop, but va beach is. i just thought going through newport news was the only way to get up to the rest of the virginia coast. looking at google earth and various maps, the best way i can describe where i'm wanting to go is to call the area the 3 'fingers' lol . newport news is on the southern most 'finger', but i want to go up through all 3 along the eastern most part of virginia. then it looks like i can go directly up into the southern tip of maryland, and on over to delaware if i choose. if not, i can go north along the coast of maryland and into pennsylvania. what i DONT see on these maps is a route to make that possible...and i dont see chesepeake bay bridge tunnel, either. where would that take me? Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

alright...i'm driving to new york from texas in a few weeks, and have a route in mind...maps aren't helping me make this possible, but i know it is! from virginia beach, i'd like to go over to newport news, then up along the eastern virginia coast. i'm guessing there are bridges to cross over the little fingers (for lack of a better description) that make up the eastern side of the state. then up through maryland and into pennsylvania, on my way to philly. i'd like to fit delaware in, too if there is anything worth seeing! so....what are the must see stops along that way, and is there an easy, accessible route that will make all of this possible? or am i stuck with back roads? Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

big move to the big city (nyc, that is)
Misslmperfect replied to Misslmperfect's topic in The Bonfire
ok, i'm planning a move to the nyc area in the very near future. i have no exact location in mind...brooklyn, queens, or nassau county are really as far as i've narrowed things down. what i've realized though, is that renting an apartment there is different then anywhere i've ever lived. my question to you new yorkers and other fine, knowledgable people is: how do i not get screwed or scammed? anyone know anyone? HELP! sounds silly but my price range is LESS then $1000 and i have 2 small dogs. i've found a few possibilities that met those requirements, so i know this is not me dreaming the impossible dream. i just need a few nudges in the right direction. thanks a bunch in advance! -
i say walrus... Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

i just moved my grandma from wva to tx. uhaul quotes were close to $1500, if i remember correctly. i ended up using abf - (upack.com). they drop off an 18 ft trailer for you to load yourself. you can use as much space as you want. we paid a little over $1200 for 10sq ft of space. you load it, they pick up the trailer and drop it off at your location of choice, then you unload it. no gas costs! we saved SO much money. definately worth checking out... Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

Has Anyone Ever Had Good Results With Hoodia or Similar?
Misslmperfect replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
i didn't take any supplements to lose my weight, but i do take hoodia now to curb my hunger. my stomach growls CONSTANTLY (well, it used to) and it was SO frustrating. i always felt hungry, no matter what.... anywho, after taking the hoodia stuff from GNC for 2 weeks, i don't feel hungry at all. ever. the only problem with this is its really easy NOT to eat when your body needs you to. also, it stops you from feeling thirsty, so dehydration is a danger. sooooo, for a natural appetite suppressant, you cant beat it. i take the one without the thermogenic (i think thats what its called), but according to the GNC guy that one slows down your metabolism. there is one WITH a thermogenic, as well which is geared more toward weight loss. hope that helps =) Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison! -

Since I didn't see it posted yet...The Weekly RUNNERS REPORT!!!
Misslmperfect replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
i completed week one tonight. i did the 2nd day on a track outdoors and thought i was gonna die (i finished it though!!)...so i think i'm gonna stick with the treadmill for a while. i'm REALLY excited about week 2 and i hate that i have to wait a day in between. how crazy is that?! i bought new shoes also...asics, and i'm loving them so far. -
CONGRATS! i quit cold turkey 4 months ago today...in only a month's time i could not believe how great i felt, and i get SUCH pride in saying "i don't smoke" when people try to bum one from me. its the best feeling in the world. i think it was also after about a month that the smell of smoke started making me sick. i get headaches in smokey bars and everything. keep it up!!!!! Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

wow..i just found this thread last night and its exactly what i've been looking for for months!!! i keep trying to get back into running but never knew how to ease my way back in, so it was failure after failure...until now!!! thank you thank you thank you acme!! i completed week one day one about 30 minutes ago...it wasn't nearly as difficult as i thought it would be! one problem i do experience frequently is numbness in my toes after extender periods of cardio (elipticals and jogging mostly). anyone know what thats about? i bought new asics running shoes that fit my foot perfectly so i know its not a shoe issue any hints? Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

my boyfriend had this done 3 days ago!!! almost the exact procedure. he was in and out of surgery very quickly and home the same day. he even walked from the car to the house - they didn't even put his leg in one of those boots, just bandages! the pain has been managable, and after 3 days he is already bending his knee 90 degrees. he says the key is ICING! remember to ice it! Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

while it would be helpful, i do hope that having a grasp on middle eastern politics is not crucial to following the movie..and i'm glad i'm not the only one who thought it scattered. (thats the perfect word) i WAS looking for some kind of summary of the movie..thanks for that! and as for reading up on the happenings in that part of the world, i would like to - so any reccomendations you have would be appreciated
