when the school system creates a rule that prevents a student from defending themself from bodily harm, the school and all employees accept the responsibility for protecting the student the fact that the bus driver has not done the job is grounds for - an interesting discussion - that if you so choose could involve the legal system Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. you may have to force the school system to enforce their own rules, yea that sux but most of these folks are plain idiots, i have dealt with this before you have to go full out from the start, document everything in writing and with pictures, send the letter to the proper person assigned to handle these things (sounds like the asst. principal) then copy that persons boss - the principal, then copy the principals boss - school superintendent - then each person on the school board and the cops, the letter must be professional, state the facts and state what you expect to be done this will force them to deal with it the bad thing is that the offending kid most likely is getting beat at home or has other big problems that are showing up thru attacks on your son, hard as it is try and have some understanding and mercy on the kid, but still push for what you need Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.
