  1. bring on the best two teams, it will be fun Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  2. great game GA deserves to be in the playoff, they can beat OK and ND, and possibly Clemsum and AL I would have loved the committee to put GA 3rd and ND 4th, just because you aren't in a conference and didn't play doesn't mean you get to keep your spot being in the SEC almost guarantees that you will have at least one loss, and you will get beat up each week, look at how many defensive players SC lost and they still whipped on Clemsum - hung over 500 yards on them!!, if I'm not mistaken Clemsum has the 3rd weakest schedule that would have been 2 great playoff games, instead we get to watch AL crush OK and Ohio St whine about not being in the game Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  3. we're around $2.34 in SC, ethanol free is $2.99 the F150 and watercraft are humming along just fine Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  4. During the election Obama gave a speech where he stated there was no way the traditional jobs would return, "who could do that, how could it be done?" One of Obama's problems is he had/has no real job experience and no knowledge of how to accomplish anything. He's never had a real job, run a business, had to create or produce - thus no vision. Being a community organizer he learned how to give great speeches - speeches don't = accomplishments. Well, guess what, Trump has experience and he is doing what Obama couldn't even imagine. Killary stated that coal jobs were gone, they are never coming back - wrong again. Recent report shows increase in mining jobs. Michele recently continued to state that what we need is hope, hope. What a crock - hope doesn't accomplish anything without leadership. I'm not thrilled with everything Trump does but give him credit where it's earned. Everything he's done is the things he said he would do. First politician in history!! Economy, jobs, and national security. Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  5. I wonder how crazy it might get IF the Republicans keep the house? It will be loud and unhinged crazy! Soon we will know. you can certainly count on that, the whining will get louder Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  6. Others will certainly add more info. Before turbines there were very few DZs that had anything more than C-182s or similar. Most jumps were a 20-25 minute ride to 7500'. If you were lucky you had access to a Twin Beech or DC-3. There were not that many boogies and Z-Hills and Perris were the hot spots. The Thanksgiving and Xmas boogies at Z-Hills were memorable. I was not a west coast jumper so others will certainly add more flavor on this. Mr Douglas was one of the most well known DC-3s around. I've got a few pics of her and Southern Cross. Some of them seemed to run on oil and you just checked the gas. My last DC-3 jump was at the old Skydive Chicago sometime around 1995. I was a first time visitor and some guy had funding for 2 jumps to build the 6-sigma formation for his company calendar. All I heard was the announcement that said, "see Max for a free jump." I got in the line to see Max and heard everyone in front of me get vetted and denied, somehow I made the cut. Max introduced me to his crew of regular jumpers, we dirt dived and up we went. We built it on the first jump. Of course having funding for two jumps we had to do better. On the climb to altitude the left engine blew. Everyone exited and upon landing Max demanded a debrief - just to see who had oil on the front of their jumpsuit. From that he jokingly determined who really knew how to exit a DC-3. That brief encounter led to many visits to Skydive Chicago and an invite to the 300-way. Fun times with Max and crew. Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. 9. no problem, it's only 2.5 miles, steep climbs and descents, narrow submerged passageways what an adventure, go for it Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  10. nothing to it if you are handy and patient, it will take you 2x longer than a pro, I've done 3 rooms including the cabinets, granite tops, vessel sinks and faucets the floor must be solid - no flex - if it has some flex fix that from underneath first, then screw down PermaBase cement board, the GC can do that but the stuff is real cheap, it's the labor that gets you unless you are using real high end expensive tile a cheap tile saw will work for this job, Harbor Freight or wherever cleaning up is one of the tricky parts, if you wipe the grout too much you'll pull the color out, use good sponges and keep em clean, you'll need 2-3 and at least 2 buckets, a helper is nice if you can do this in stages starting in a place that isn't too noticeable you can learn how to do it before you get to the important places, I did a small bath first, then a laundry room, then a master bath, there may be logical places where you can stop and it won't be noticeable the shower was a kit where the tiles came in 8 panels, the panels were lined up and glued to the wall, there is permabase behind them Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  11. way too complicated when there is a simple procedure that is super easy to perform, eliminates all that thinking and potential finger trapping stuff but for highly loaded small speed rocket canopies this may be the only thing that works Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  12. 9-way diamond off a Caribou or CASA Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  13. here in SC there are rare occasions when we use voltage and frequency reduction to manage short term grid issues, once it's under control we raise the frequency to correct the clocks, the changes are minor and no one has ever noticed Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  14. that seems to be a reasonable accommodation, may need to add other qualify factors Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  15. that is taken out of context of the full conversation about folks with mental issues, another fail Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  16. typical deflection, again no credibility Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  17. until you start caring and talking about the mass shootings that occur every week in Chicago you'll have no credibility on this subject since the 1950's every mass shooting has occurred in a gun free zone except for two until solutions are adopted to address the real problems nothing will change the firearm is not the problem Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  18. I'm not really a fan of that method of doing things, because it results in odd market distortions - look at all the now-useless solar thermal systems installed in the US in the 1970's due to great tax credits for them. I'm more in favor of real time pricing of power, which is a very strong incentive to install solar - AND is an accurate reflection of the market. Bill - here is SC the regulated utility was forced to provide solar subsidies, all customers pay a surcharge on their bill, the funds cover the solar customers the Co-Ops changed their rates to demand time of use, a form of RTP the result has been that there is a surge of solar in the regulated utility area and almost none in the Co-Op area when the market price signal method is used solar isn't working, at least not here at our current electric rates Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  19. the election season will be great fun and quite painful to watch Pain - constant reruns of the Democrats sitting on their hands and Nancy's dumbfounded look and constant irritation Fun - the Republicans will craft a great ad talking about how they will stand up for the voters and the FISA stuff will be added in for dessert Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  20. energy policy is a complicated topic, here on the East Coast there are State social welfare programs (tax incentives) that go along with the federal social welfare combine those subsidies together and solar can compete economically with conventional generation, remove the subsidy and the industry dies under the weight of economics Trump is not killing it, the social welfare that is not sustainable once removed kills it, unless the cost of the technology drops another 20-50% i'm not anti-solar but don't like paying a tax so a solar user can have panels the other issue is the solar user isn't paying their share of the grid costs, if they want to be independent that's fine, disconnect from the grid, but solar without storage only provides power 23% of the time under the best circumstances, so these folks want to stay connected to the grid but don't want to pay their fair share of the costs of the grid, that's not fair some utilities have rate structures that remove the subsidy, in those cases the solar owner pays their fair share of the grid costs, but then the economics of solar are terrible so almost no one does it and that's how it should be these facts are different in different parts of the country Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  21. the best thing is to have a detail discussion with your instructors to make sure you aren't confused on this topic, everyone learns differently and understands things differently the words i'd use to explain it are below but i'd also use my hands and pictures: - flying in brakes decreases your descent rate, you stay in the air longer, that leaves you exposed to the effects of the wind for a longer period of time - if the wind is at your back (like being upwind and flying back to the DZ) you will travel further because the wind pushes you further, you'll arrive at the dz at a higher altitude, canopy speed plus wind speed = ground speed - if the wind is in your face your forward speed is reduced so you won't go as far or if the wind is high enough you may go backward, canopy speed minus wind speed = ground speed - assume canopy speed is 15 mph, wind speed is 11 mph - flying downwind (with the wind), ground speed would be 26, 15 + 11 - flying upwind (into the wind), ground speed would be 4, 15 - 11 - if the wind speed was 16, flying into the wind, you go backward 1 mph, 15-16 Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. 22. I'm right there with ya, been here 27 years and finally moving we've thrown away a ton, donated 10+ loads to charity and filled a 12x20 storage unit, it's finally cleaned up to enough to list close on the new house in February, will start moving the storage unit and hires movers for the house Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  23. Billy- wth the defender can move before the snap he just can't cross the line, and he didn't or did you mean the Bama player moved before the snap?, which he did Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  24. huh? the guy was not off sides on the punt block, I guess I should have also mentioned that the Bama guy moving in the backfield was missed Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
  25. Yep, according to the score AL is the champion. What are your thoughts on 1 call and 2 no calls? Call - off sides on GA when the punt was blocked No calls - face mask and tackling the QB then punching him in the head the one thing I hate about this game is bad officiating that can or does determine the outcome of the game. For the record - I would be saying the exact same thing if the situation was reversed. Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
