  1. Interesting use of the blow-job-emoticon... "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss
  2. Sorry... Did I forget "someone who is intelligent and can spell"? "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss
  3. Funnily enough, after I posted this I went back to Shah's thread and read your response - almost exactly the same as mine!
  4. Support your friend, if not her decision. Even if your heart is in the right place, only she knows what is really good for her. In any case, if she is really your friend you will not lose her for trying to help. 5. - Someone who treats me well - Someone who makes me laugh - Someone who encourages and supports me - Someone compatible with me so we balance each-other - Someone with whom I have chemistry/physical attraction I think that's mostly it - the rest depends tremendously on the individual - some traits are attractive in one person but a turn-off in another. Ladies? Anything to add/qualify/challenge? "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss
  6. Sorry... So... You don't love me anymore?? So what we did last night was just sex to you? I don't really know *what* to call it but I really would prefer to forget it ever happened... 8. I vote dunk their head in Walt's loo before it has been flushed. "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss
  9. Why mislead someone even a little bit on such an important topic? Why feel defensive about something you just don't want? Be clear and don't apologise for who you are. You don't want kids - simple as. It doesn't make you a bad person. If you constantly worry that people will think something of you, eventually they will. You can make something true by repeating it enough. Example: - Woman: you don't really love me - Man: of course I do - Woman: no really, I feel like you think I nag you - Man: don't be silly, I told you I love you - Woman: yes but do you *really* love me? - Man: yes - Woman: but sometimes I worry that you don't - Man: I do, so don't worry - Woman: but how do I *know*? - Man: ARGH!! Stop nagging me, I told you I love you. - Woman: you SEE?? I *knew* you thought I nag you - Man: can you just leave me alone? - Woman: you don't love me anymore??? Et cetera, et cetera... 10. Yes, and the condition that makes them weak and feeble is ignorance(which is perpetuated by the church) You are exactly right. I think this is grossly oversimplifying the problem... Just like it's grossly oversimplifying things to say that the riots and killings were merely the result of some fuckwit burning a book... It was most probably the trigger, but something doesn't explode like that without other deep, underlying problems. "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss
  11. Hmmm... If religion is used as an excuse to make week and feeble people do horrible things... Isn't the original problem that those people live in conditions that make them susceptible to evil and corruption in the first place??? 12. I'm sure you can filter for this on the normal websites. If it's really a deal-breaker for you, why not try dating slightly older women? They are more likely to be mature and know who they are and as an added bous also more likely to know what they are doing in the sack! Plus if they say they don't want children they are less likely to change their mind... 13. Lucky for me, the time difference meant that a lot of people didn't realise it was an April Fool's joke!! "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss
  14. Lots of fun things you can do via social networks - it reaches lots of people in a short amount of time.. I know my phone has been ringing off the hook ever since I posted on my wall this morning!! 15. Shah: you would have to be a complete moron not to know the answer to your question. You *know* having/wanting kids is a big deal whether you want them or not - they represent a 20+ year investment in love, time and money. You know that if someone wants kids, they will be turned off by someone else not wanting them and that the opposite is also true. All of this is obvious. And it's also abvious that any attempt to hide your true feelings about kids is purely for short-term gain. So if you want a long, stable, balanced relationship, DON'T LIE. If you want a second date with a chick who desperately wants your children - lie your fucking face off because you should realise that such a girl is a fucking freak/miracle anyway!!! 16. Strange foreigners, will they ever learn? I try to write out the month to avoid confusion (ie: 01 APR)... Because everyone knows it makes more sense to put day/month/year but too many people refuse to accept it!! 17. And I reckon you don't realise how good you've got it right now !!! If you really think about it, the worst thing that probably happened to you when you were 10 is you got bullied - and the *best* thing that could happen is that you get ice-cream for desert!!! And in your 20's maybe the worst thing is your financial problems but maybe the *best* thing is you meet and fall in love with your (future) wife... And in your 30's maybe you lose some family members but maybe also you experience the great joys of having children of your own... My point is that if you keep looking back to realise the bad things weren't so bad, you should perhaps also realise the good things weren't so good either... So maybe try to look at what you've got *now* and realise that the bad things get harder, but the good things also get better... Don't forget to notice the GOOD things in your life, because if you spend all your time focusing on the bad, you might miss out on the good stuff alltogether! 18. You don't even have to like animals to find this heart-wrenching Poor fella.. "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss

  20. I've wondered about that...it didn't seem like it used to be. O'well, I can't blame them when you have computers and first person shooter games...you ARE the cartoon! edited to make sense... Well, I'm sure my parents were dismayed when Sat cartoons came out... They probably thought - what happened to playing outside?!! 21. I *wish* I had a garden!! Let's see.. What would I have in my garden.. Well, I would like to have tomatoes. And more than one variety. Cucumbers - sooo nice when they are from the garden.. Beans - gotta have beans! Potatoes - they grow so easily and you really *can* taste a difference. Carrots.. Mmmm.. Hot peppers - yum! Herbs, too.. Thyme, sage, parsley, basil, mint, coriander. Man... I'm *HUNGRY* now!! Methinks a late-night-snack is in order before going to bed! 22. Oh, I don't know... Your biggest worry was whether you would wake up on time on Saturday to watch the cartoons you liked!! 10 wasn't so bad!! "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." » - my boss
  23. It's funny... When I was 18, I distinctly remember feeling like 18 was the *perfect* age. I thought there was a whole world of opportunity ahead of me - I could do anything. Well, almost. Actually, that's not really the funny bit... At 30, for the second time in my life, I kinda feel the same way. Except it's even better this time around, because I have some great experiences behind me as well to guide me... So where do you stand right now, and is it different to how you felt, say, 10 years ago? 24. Well, Madeleine is a more common name, but Madeline also exists - and it's not pronounced the same way! The books are definitely about "Madeline" - I googled!!
