I hear that all the time from my friends, i'm afraid of heights - amongst other things so they just can't believe I jump from planes now. someone who is honest can admit when they are wrong has passion in life a sense of humour intelligence someone i'm physically attracted to who isn't abusive has respect for family and culture is faithful has good morals respects my passions/tastes/lifestyle/friends etc. oh and has a million dollars it's funny because I have already told my parents i'm marrying a poor bum who treats me well... hmmm well when i'm being good I run half an hour in the morning, then go to the gym in the evening after work for weights and an hour of cardio, 5 days a week... although i havent been good for over two weeks now and i'm starting to feel slightly pogish i also ate heaps of chocolate last night so i'm feeling quite guilty about it right now reading your post . I was possibly one of the worst before I made a jump. Never considered skydiving, way too afraid of heights. It was only thanks to a good friend of mine making it vitrually impossible for me not to jump that i got to actually try it... and of course love it I remember asking that age old question: so what happens if both cutes fail? are you going to teach us what to do then? yeah i was a whuffo... hehe . I've got this at home, i've only watched it a couple of times though but you do definately pick up on new things each time. it really made me think about planes of conscious and just how powerful and deceptive they are. strangely enough i actually had my first lucid dream the night before watching it. I've had three since then, apparently there are things you can do to kind of teach your mind to lucid dream more often, i'd love to do that, it's such an amazing feeling. . My poor tandem master deserves a big pat on the back, his name is Sass, jumped at Barwon Heads in Malbourne Australia, not sure if he is still there, i've never seen him again. I spent the time on the ground shaking saying i wasn't going up, i spent the time in the plane with a death grip on his legs shaking my head but he got me out the door eventually and thank goodness for that because i absolutley loved it

Jump 8, AFF7 i got the ripcord out about half a foot from my rig and pulled as hard as i could with both hands a couple of times but it just wasn't coming out any further, apparently the pin was lodged in so tightly it was caught on something and just wasn't going to release my main. Went for my reserve and landed it standing. Was a little shaken but didn't think i was all that fazed by it until they made me jump the same rig on next jump back two weeks later. That kind of made me a little nervous on my ride to altitude, it all went off ok but i spent the better part of the 20 min ride trying to convince myself i would be ok and i really did still want to be jumping (whilst holding back any possible tears). Now i think it's good they made me jump the rig again, i've jumped it twice since and now i have no fear of it, best to get right back on the horse rather than allowing something to become and issue in your mind. . In the first week or so I talked about it non stop, my room-mate almost killed me, I didn’t even realise until she pointed it out that every single conversation did not need to be about skydiving. Since then I’ve resisted the urge to talk about it, I tell her if something important happens but that’s about it. I don’t really tell people I skydive, if it comes out somehow after a while they usually just go oh cool and that’s it. That’s if they don’t think I’m nuts, either way they don’t really seem all that interested so I hold back as I know it can get quite boring listening to things you don’t have a passion in. However when I see my skydiving friends I kind of let out all the stuff I’ve held in all week, we get in the car on the way to the DZ and talk a million miles an hour about anything and everything skydiving, they are like my release. I watched that last night too. He is the most convincing She i've ever seen, i dont think i'd ever pick it, she has been taking hormones and such since she was 11 apparently. I stopped watching Friends a few years ago now, once they all started sleeping with eachother it all seemed a little less like a sitcom and more like a mini drama with one liners. I didn't even realise it was still on TV. However when they wrapped up Seinfeld i was pretty unhappy and i know i'll feel a little lost when they quit making The Simpsons so yeah i can understand where you are coming from. . :2:1 Tried to get stage 7 of my AFF done, unfortunately I didn't pass both times, i'm having a problem with tracking... so it's the same deal again next weekend. On my second jump i had my first reserve ride so i owe beer for that but i've had to take a raincheck until next weekend, i'm all out of cash right now. I just told my parents on the weekend how much it's costing me to skydive. They were much more taken aback with that news than they were when i told them i was going to jump. Then i told my dad that i'd need a loan to buy a rig from either someone in the family or a financial institution and if it was from a bank i'd probably need a guarantor which would most likely be him anyway.
