    I see how you can conclude that the O in the word was drawn clockwise. It's definitely not conclusive, but it makes sense. But I don't see how you can conclude that the O in the picture was drawn counterclockwise. It's impossible to tell. I was thinking exactly the opposite.

    Telling the difference between playful wit and pointed assault can be difficult online. Take, for instance, these two sentences: "Suck a boulder, you cliff humping lavaphile." and "Pull the crag out of your ass climb over yourself." Which is which?

    The irony is that if the entirety of the population (or even a majority) had to do any given task every couple of hours in order to survive, it wouldn't be an issue. But because only a small minority of people at any given time have to do it, others decide to be offended.

    Whether or not skydiving is a sport is a valid discussion to be had, with good points on both sides. But the issue isn't the fact that they were having the conversation, it was the blatant misinformed ignorance, and general lack of desire to learn before judging that struck me. I expect that out of most people, but it surprised me coming from other adventure seekers.

    I found that pretty odd as well. You'd think that as proponents of a similarly obscure and ill understood sport themselves, they'd comprehend that skydiving is more than just throwing yourself out of an airplane and succumbing to the effects of gravity, even if they don't understand exactly the details involved. My favorites were the ones who, in the same breath, called all skydivers idiots, and yet pointed to the fact that you could die rock climbing.
