Have you ever noticed that "bored" and "robed" are anagrams? Maybe the people who invented English were so wealthy that they had the time and money to purchase robes and do nothing but sit around in them inventing English. Then one day they got tired of inventing English and just sat around with nothing to do. Then the common worker people saw the rich people wearing robes sitting around doing nothing and, being backward hicks who didn't know the new language yet, started calling them "bored."
