Do you think ATF will burn down Brady's HQ?
-
I cant believe anyone gives a flying fuck what AQ, AQ's brother, sister, mom, dad or second cousin says. I wouldnt give you two pounds of camel shit for anything that anyone even remotely associated with them says NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAID.

Hold the Dytter in you lef hand. Place your right thumb on the 'wheel' on the Dytter. Turn counter clockwise slowly untill it beeps. Stop! Then turn clockwise slowly to set the warning altitude. Each division is 1000 feet. It will beep at that altitude on the way up to check. Hope that helped.

E-mail sent to someone I know of who has one.

No explanation?

If you put flat out first and have AFF and tandem last you have just put Freefflyers "in the middle". Aff1, 2, or three with video puts three flatflyers behind your freeflyers (I am discounting the student who deployed high but he could make it four). Splain me how dis is better dan FF first?

Replace the word "you" with "they" or "somebody" OK. Better? There are consequences for mistakes. If you take that away then no one is responsible for their actions or lack thereof. If you take away the consequence of dying, it should be replaced with the consequence of losing your licence. Thats a fair trade.
-
If you want to make AADs mandatory then I propose another rule: If your AAD saves your life and you are not unconsious then hand in your licence and go home. You should, after all, already be dead and should be just happy that you're alive. Right? Have an appeal process if you like. After all, make a big enough mistake in a car and you can lose your licence. I think its a fair rule.

Wow. Really stickin your neck out on that one.

Well I see it this way...More skydivers die from bad moves under canopies than get knocked out. More jumpers die from high wingloads than no pulls. So I find it funny that a guy will say he will not jump without an AAD, but will load up a canopy. He is more likley to die from the canopy. So I find it funny...You don't have to agree...Its called humor. Not everyone likes Knock-knock jokes. I like irony. And the folks that jump a high wingload but scream that jumping without an AAD is dangerous..Well that is ironic. I dont want some guy sitting at a computer in Germany deciding when to pull my reserve. I'll do that on my own thank you.

When did you go over 1.4 W/L??
burbleflyer replied to frankiebrina's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The point was that you dont need a small x braced to do good swoops. I prove it every day. Why are you all obsessed with the size of your canopy? First you should be posting how great your landings are under what you have and that you swoop it great 95 times out 100 and couldnt possibly swoop farther unless you got a smaller/faster canopy. You can make the swoops without the hot rod canopy if you have the talent. If you dont have the talent you shouldnt be jumping the hot rod. I updated my profile. -
Tandem Masters- do you tip your packer or pilot
burbleflyer replied to Chiquita's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
No. -
Its already mandated that I wear two parachutes I see no need to force me to wear one. I have never owned one and never will. I do believe that if you are afraid to jump without one you should ask yourself why. If its because you fear the chances of getting knocked out then fine. If you fear not being able to handle what might happen then....... Three handles. Two hands. One brain. Not complicated at all.

HIV+ sitting next to me on a train / in a bus?
burbleflyer replied to Liemberg's topic in The Bonfire
I would prefer to NOT sit next to a poo stabber. -
would you Sue the canopy manufacturer
burbleflyer replied to Tinkerbelle's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I personally believe if a canopy has beeen snivelling for a thousand feet and then spanks you its un likely the pack job. Not for sure, but unlikely. If it comes out the bag and hits you? Probably packing. -

I say it because my colleagues with 10,000, 14,000, 6,000, 5,000 etc... jumps will back me up. I'm not bragging. You miss my point again. Its not the canopy, its the pilot. If what I say starts shit, then thats why I why I wish to remain unknown. I work in the industry. I would like to express my opinion sometimes and not have it be connected to where I work. I know of what I speak. I have watched close to half a MILLION parachute landings. I have watched the people I speak of try to become canopy gods by buying a canopy. It doesnt work. You become a good pilot first, then you step up to the canopy. Humility? Humble= teachable. Do you think I made 9,000 jumps without an injury by not listening to those who have something to teach me? Ha ha. I can still quote instructors from my static line days. Its you guys who lack humility and are hard to teach. I have spent lots of wasted breath on people who ended up helicoptered out of the DZ and dead. They didnt listen. If a guy with 9,000 jumps gives you advice and you dont at least consider it, you deserve your helicopter ride. Flame away. -

I saw him running around with Tommy late today. How's he doin?

Yep. I f there is one small chance you could transmit the disease to your passenger, and there is, you owe it to them. You ever see someone bleed in freefall? Its a mess. Even from a slight wound or bloody nose and it happens all the time. Good luck.

Sabres have opening problems. It's no secret
burbleflyer replied to TomSpoon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Don't kid yourself...... it is. Age P.S. Sabre2 != Sabre Sorry. The Sabre is most definitely a different animal than the Sabre2. I have thousands of Sabre jumps and a thousand on Sabre2s. I feel qualified to make that statement. -

burbleflyer replied to frankiebrina's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Why thank you Dahlin. I do love flying my canopy sideways. Oh, and to answer a question posted earlier. I would hardly make the podium on a 135 Sabre. There a re far better canopy pilots than I. Thing is, I can admit it.
