So the Founding Fathers were wrong? Sorry, guys. Terrorist is a label you apply to an enemy employing differing tactics to fight you. 'Shock and Awe,' anyone? Yes. They are different tactics indeed. Tactics that rely upon terrorizing men, woman, and children who are not combatants. Setting off bombs on buses loaded with kids. Nice tactic. Setting off bombs on trains loaded with people going to work. Nice tactic. And, of course, crashing planes into office buildings. Very nice tactic. The problem I see is that you look at these persons as soldiers. They are NOT soldiers. A soldier does not strap a bomb to a child then send him into a crowd. A soldier attacks the military component of his enemy. Does everything always go according to plan? No, of course not. This is the real world where shit happens and things go wrong. The difference lies in intention and after thought. If it is your intention to kill civilians, then you are a terrorist. If the above list of tactics are on your to do list, then you are a terrorist. If you can not honestly tell the difference between a soldier and a terrorist, then I have some choice words for you that are currently banned under the "No Personal Attacks" category. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Well hell, while we are at lets make a few other things illegal. Injured persons may not travel in automobiles. They could be shifted causing pain which would lead to yelling thus distracting the driver All stereo systems must be removed. No on-board computer displays. Looking at an in-dash GPS system causes you to lose your road focus. Very dangerous. No conversations of any sort are allowed inside a vehicle while it is in operation. No thinking of non driving related topics while driving. You must be 100% focused. No drinking coffee for 3 hours before operating a motor vehicle. The twitch effect from coffee can impair judgement. Windows must always be in the up position and sun roofs closed. Wind passing over the eyes may cause unintentional blinking resulting in dangerous situations. Physical stress tests will be taken before operation of a motor vehicle. Driving while upset can be dangerous. Enforcement of these codes while be handled through Audio/Video monitors in the motor vehicle. Fun little slippery slope isn't it? _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Does that mean that if you use newsgroups, you are an AOL user ? [blunt] no, he was saying that if you use AOL, you're probably too dumb to find the newsgroups let alone use them [/blunt] _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

I've used both alot in the last few months, and they seem to be about the same. I think the speeds you get have alot to do with the area, especially with DSL. When i had DSL i would top out at 150KB/s or so... with my cable connection from Comcast... i get anywhere from 300KB/s to 600KB/s (and yes i know the difference between KB/s and Kbps, the above numbers are in bytes not bits) _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

you can get I-Tunes songs in MP3 format... just takes a little work... I-Tunes has a built in CD burning software.. so.. burn a CD, then grab your favorite CD Audio Ripper. Then sell copies of the music and turn a profit. Not that i would know anything about that.... _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Level 0 There is no more straight acting than you. Not one person on the planet would guess you sleep with men. You might want to check to see if you shouldn't be out wrestling with wild animals in the wilderness or jumping out of airplanes right now. You are the ultimate in masculinity and acting in a straight manner in which most heterosexual men don't even achieve. woot _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Yeah, go with IPASS if ya like big brother My father works as a public defender in Cook County. He has seen cases where the defendants story of events had been descreditted by the ITA's log of his tollway activity (they didnt add the charge but they also showed with the time it took him to go from one booth to the next that he was going 100+ MPH) _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Lets see here... I have been pulled over/searched/harassed just for driving through the "nice neighborhoods". I've had my car torn apart by cops and police dogs. Had my clothes practically ripped from me as I was searched. Been hit over the head with flashlights/night sticks/etc. Had smokes, CDs, CD Players, and various other pieces of equipment stolen from me by cops. Nearly got thrown in jail for giving a 17 year old white female friend a place to stay at my female friend's house after being kicked out of her own house. The list goes on and on about the shit i went through with police... Oh, and btw. I'm white. My father is a public defender, so I grew up knowing cops. For alot of people working law enforcement on the street, it gets to be that all they can see is scum. Their outlook of the world becomes very narrow and very depressed. But its not their fault. Its reactionary to the enviroment in which they work. Most of my police troubles went away when I cleaned up my act and enlisted in the Army. I went to BCT at Ft. Benning, GA. During that time I ended up in a position of authority in my barracks. These 3 guys fucked up one day and got our whole company smoked for hours. So, that week they had alot of fire watch (barrack night guard duty) letting them get very little sleep. One came to me and started yelling at me that I was unfairly abusing him and his "brothas". Spent the next 10 minutes explaining to him that I was giving him hell cause he was an asshole, not because he was black. The notion that he could be blamed for something that didnt relate to the color of his skin didnt sink in. Oh well tho, its just the world we live in. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

All you need to do is get some blood meal and some bone meal. Not only is it nitrogen rich to stimulate plant growth but it tends to scare animals away. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Anyone that has been through MEPS (military enlistment processing station.. or something) has had a bar code assigned to them which comes with this fun little sticker you can put on your shirt for easy scanning :) _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
