Every year a neighbor of mine goes crazy with decorations & puts up these big-ass candy canes with lights all around the edge of his front yard. And every year all the other neighbors place their bets on when they'll come down. Starting at Dec. 26th, today is day 59 and they'e still up. A couple of years ago he finally took them down when they became just too much to mow around. I should start a contest, the person who guesses closest to the day he takes them down wins a jump ticket. I'll keep you posted. Don Here's to friends! -

I took a year of Spanish back in high school & have been really wanting to take it up again. My biggest problem it seems is when someone speaks too fast I have a hard time catching anything they say. For a couple of months now I've been turning on Univision, Telemundo or Telefutura when I get home from work or in the evenings & watching, but mostly just listening. I think it's helping! But now I'm hooked on Asi es la Vida. Anyone else watch that? Don Here's to friends!

No. A few other guys volunteered to work, I said no since I worked the last couple holidays while they were off. I really should get my lazy ass outside & finish shoveling the ice/snow off the walk & driveway. Don Here's to friends!
