I have an off hand question.. why is it that guys think "balloon knot" sex and all the nastiness that goes with it is awesome but they are not interested in "regular sex" during that particular time? men are weird.

Yet another funny Ebay listing (this one is from the future)
RedassSkychic replied to AggieDave's topic in The Bonfire
The funniest part of that auction is its now up to $255.... -
lets find the tallest skydiver
RedassSkychic replied to sight_burner's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Holy shit, 135#!? that's skinny dude. You have a foot on me and i weigh close to that.. or maybe i'm pudgy, one of the two -
Don't you guys bitch about the oversimplified problems!! I sure as hell don't want to have to start factoring air resistance into everything, that shit's complicated. Not to mention all the other things you have to consider for objects that aren't a point mass, or aren't symetrical.. whew!

Is this finally evidence that all the time spent on the computer is worthwhile? Took you long enough to come up with a decent excuse Mine was much worse.. 50wph with lots of mistakes, lol. They said my adjusted time was 24wpm. Oh well, I plan on paying someone to do my typing for me!

Would you do a tandem with your wife as a passenger ?
RedassSkychic replied to vidiot's topic in Instructors
One tandem with you is enough... three tandems is enough for awhile, i think. I like having my own rig. I will jump with you (but seperately) any time. geez, get a room -
I have and have ridden a smart reserve with no problems; wonderful terminal opening and landing. I bought it from square1 for about $650-$700 last April. -Morgan

A good estimate is 10 seconds for the first 1000ft and then 5 sec/1000 ft afterwards. So if you jump at 10000' AGL and pull at 5000' you will be in freefall for 30 seconds. -Morgan

Good!! that's the best way to do it, because there really is alot of good information out there if you can sort through the bs. If you read your SIM it lays out for you the different categories and what you will be doing in each, but you will probably have questions. In my opinion the SIM is not very clear for skydivers with little to no experience. As for this question, what kind of jump will you be doing? Your exit will be different for tandem, AFF or static line and for the type of aircraft. -Morgan

well i'm in one of those "sunny" southern states and here lately there hasn't been much jumping going on.. I did 3 jumps in January and 4 in February. Of course, the best part about Texas is here pretty soon the sun will come out and everyone will think winter is over but nope! another freeze or at least some winter weather will hit before its all said and done.

Just pay a packer for the first 20 jumps, you're worth more than $3.33/hr, right? Everyone should hire a packer! packers are cool

Your opinions wanted please.
RedassSkychic replied to Smeger's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
haha... that's a good one -
I'd say the bath is easily forgivable, and the drink maybe, though questionable. I think the book definately puts you over the edge

Thanks guys.. after Dave started getting a fever and complaining of body aches and chills I started to suspect the flu because its really going around. He's fever's gone down below 100deg and he's been sleeping all afternoon, hasn't thrown up since 9am this morning. hopefully he'll feel much better in the morning! Thanks for the advice. Morgan

I went to the liquor store the other day and got this butterscotch cream stuff; its really good, tastes like a buttery nipple. Not much alcohol though (I think 25 proof?) so for an extra kick I ad some vodky you might want to give it a try.
-
That's great. So who wants to fight?
-
I've seen people do this alot as a packer and I've always just corrected it.. just this weekend I was trying to come up with a possible bad scenario for doing it the "incorrect" way. thanks for clearing up the issue here. Morgan

What do you mean it never works? I have closed end cells probably 85% of my openings (sabre2) and I always just pump the rear risers a little and have no problems inflating them. Also flaring works, but its usually something i want to do right away so i use my rears. As far as packing, I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to pack a partial step through; if it was already there and you (or the packer) didint flake it out all the way there would just be a wad in the canopy, which a tired packer may not notice or care about. Right?
-
Congratulations! Hope you dont discover later that your back really hurts or something . Just curious, how did it fly with six lines broken? were you spinning? did it have a wimpy flare? or did you cutaway as soon as you noticed that many broken lines? (not trying to question your judgement, just wondering if it drastically affected the canopy flight or not) Morgan

I'd think the "pull" signal used in AFF would work pretty well, a pointed index finger. Instructors and jumpers not too far off student status should recognize this, at least. I've always been amazed what can be communicated in freefall with just facial expressions... someone with a freaked out look pointing at my gear would get my attention, i would think. Never been in the situation though.

I usually drink different things; sometimes i'm in the mood for a beer, sometimes a girly drink. I'm always a sucker for a long island iced tea, though, and one time i was at chili's and they made one for me with rasberry liquor instead of coke... it was great! the perfect girly drink with lots of alchy-hol and not too sweet.

Ahha!! So you were in New York this afternoon. You're in trouble now, buddy! "If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happens if you strap toast on the back of a cat and drop it?" --Steven Wright
-
Absolutely not. Dont even joke like that.

Sorry, can't let that one slide, have to call bullshit. Many a time have I been in the plane about 7,000 feet thinking, hell i dont want any more altitude lets get the fuck out!
