How interesting. Your position is that if one has not literally heard the voice of god speaking directly to them, as you have, then there's no reason to believe in god or be religious?
-
Is there anything worse (on a forum, not in the real world obvs) than someone who tries to weasel out of standing up for what they said when they realise it hasn't gone down well? Not your opinion, huh? Lets just check that. You said, and I'll copy and paste so there's no mistake, "IMO the country isn't ready to elect a female". Simple question here - what does the 'M' stand for in IMO?

You could say they're born winners. The Bidens getting away with everything? Win. The Clintons beating an investigation into their charity while Trump's has to close? Huge win. Shadowy Democrat operatives turning the FBI into a liberal bastion that's laser focussed on taking down Trump on made up charges? So much winning. And now even the CIA is part of the liberal conspiracy? According to the right, the liberals have won so much they must be tired of winning. Please, they say, it's too much winning. I hope RIcII has a plan to stop them from winning even more.

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
jakee replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
It finally happened! Republican former President convicted of corruption and obstruction of justice while in office, sentenced to three years house arrest. Oh wait, no - President of France. So close! Kudos on offering the judge a cushy posting in Monte Carlo though. Even when the French do corruption they do it with that je ne sais quoi. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-65620064 -
Oh you’re too kind. The NYP has been a shit show for much longer than that.
-
What I still love about that is how much he struggled to think of a list of five things. And even then he couldn’t think of anything else that existed outside of people and tv shows. Which is what he was doing at the time, talking to a person in front of a tv camera.
-
I think something has been lost in translation here.
-
If they did that? They’d crash and burn. People don’t vote for uncertainty.
-
Err, is she? In that article at least she’s simply saying that they don’t have the votes to institute a national ban, not that they shouldn’t.
-
Then he’s not referring to them, is he? He’s referring to the fringe MAGA crowd who the moderates have allowed to dominate the state legislature and pass these dystopian laws. ‘Cuckservative’ is actually a term that the fascists and racists (yes really) use to denigrate your moderate friends for not being MAGA enough.

The integration work would have been going on for some time ahead of the announcement that they were being supplied. Aside from physically matching it to the hard points, a GPS guided cruise missile like this would be one of the easiest though, because the entire mission profile and targeting info can be preloaded on the ground and there’s no integration needed with any avionics except a fire button. There’s speculation that the same thing was done with the HARMs they’ve been using - which is a big disadvantage since they can only fire it blind at a certain area and hope it picks up an active radar on its own (the main alternative would be having a tablet computer running in the cockpit which sounds like a pilot workload nightmare). For the Storm Shadow the most basic integration should be just about perfect anyway, since it’s always going to be fired at a known, static, pre-chosen target.

Seymour Hersh: How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline
jakee replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Quite possibly. Makes perfect sense to me that it could have been asked to go and have a look after the explosion was detected. But I’m asking the guy who thinks it attacked the pipeline with a time travelling anti submarine weapon. -
Well, maybe, though I haven't seen mention of that anywhere. I think most looted appliances were just being looted. Superior officers would let them be transported back because 1) they're all corrupt together and view everything in occupied Ukraine as the spoils of war and 2) plenty of Russian units were on the ragged edge of discipline as soon as things started to go badly for them. Unlikely their commanders would want to risk doing anything that would push them closer to open insubordination.

Seymour Hersh: How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline
jakee replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
And what among that data was significant about the time this P8 spent over the pipeline after it had blown up? -
Anyway the relevant thing is that Clarence is probably the only person here who does drink kopi luwak for the sun deck of Harlan’s yacht, while claiming he prefers Nescafé original with powdered milk, heated on a brazier at the homeless encampment by the underpass.
-
Some big explosions in Russian occupied areas 100km from the front line already today. And while the Russian Ministry of Defence strenuously denies any suggestion that its forces have had to retreat anywhere in the Bakhmut region.... some units have redeployed to "more advantageous defensive positions". Err, right. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/may/12/russian-troops-defensive-positions-near-bakhmut-moscow-statement-ukraine

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers

On that note, what the fuck were CNN thinking? -
I don't know about you guys but I try not to eat the shell, so that's fine.
-
Quite possibly something like that, yeah. I read an article last year that said the Russian military essentially tolerates a certain level of corruption (for officers) throughout the chain of command as an integral part of maintaining discipline. It's basically a mafia like structure where the message is 'keep doing what you're told and we'll let you keep making money". Plus then if anyone steps out of line or challenges the political orthodoxy the authorities will immediately 'find out' about whatever it is they've been stealing. The problem they've found is that they were too corrupt to accurately keep track of how corrupt they were. The people at the top thought they were tolerating a certain amount of graft from the people just below them, who were tolerating more from the people below them, who were tolerating more from the people below them.... And now they've gone to Ukraine and suddenly found out the effects of everything all at once

Completely true. No, that was you, remember? You had to completely delete and pretend you never wrote a reply because you misunderstood so badly? So again; Explain why you can claim woke people think all the above are racist misogynistic Nazis just because Donald Trump is a racist misogynist with Nazi supporters? Just give it one try. Because again, this is from the first article on the site of the guy you said best represented everything you think about wokeness - so surely you have some kind of answer?
-
If you don’t think of white privilege as property then how can you think of disposing of it as Marxist? How does disposing of any one type of property become Marxist anyway? Was abolishing slavery Marxist? Oh, and if you can get around to attempting to explain why all people in power are racist, misogynistic Nazis just because Donald Trump is a racist misogynist with some Nazi followers that would be great. Because it still sounds really stupid to me.
-
Clearly they don’t, because that makes no sense to anyone who thinks about it for more than 5 seconds. But let’s run with it. So anti-woke people think of white privilege as private property, and if white people successfully engineer society to enhance white privilege as much as possible, that’s a good thing because capitalism is good. Dude, that’s a really weird thing for you to be in favour of.
-
I hit reply before you edited your post. So I’m not assuming you wrote it as a rebuttal, I know you did. How the hell did you just end up being dishonest about your own apology? Donald Trump is a racist because Donald Trump is a racist, not because he was a rich man and the President. Donald Trump is a misogynist because Donald Trump is a mysogynist (he’s literally a legally defined violent sex offender), not because he was a rich man and the President. Some Trump supporters hate trans people, because you know they do - they’re not shy about it. Some Trump supporters are fascists and Nazis because just listen to the Proud boys. Not all of them are though, and I’ve never heard anyone say that. Yes, and that’s the bit that’s ridiculously stupid. Trump is Trump. He’s not anyone else. So why did you make such a stupid argument?
-
{Bangs head against wall} I know. That's why I just said that his decription of those views is absolutely, completely, obviously and very easily provably wrong. It's bullshit. It's fucking laughable. It's the biggest strawman since Christopher Lee went to Summerisle. So why did you make such a ridiculously stupid argument?
