Since you’ve obviously copied that from a different conversation between different people you should know that I have no idea who Ruth is. Anyway, why should it cause her pain? As terrible as it is to lose a son or daughter, how does it give her the right to demand that everyone in the entire country behaves a certain way? Is cultural Marxism a good thing now, since both you and Ruth are demanding that all football players quite literally shut up and stand on the sidelines?

Trump Bucks scam - just how stupid are these people??
jakee replied to Erroll's topic in Speakers Corner
There's no easier mark than a greedy person. They're getting scammed into thinking they are going to be scamming the system. "a Bank of America spokesperson said the company has heard from employees about several people trying to exchange the worthless bills for significantly larger amounts of cash than they spent to buy them." https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-supporters-scammed-out-of-thousands-trump-bucks-report-2023-5?r=US&IR=T -
That is exactly - exactly - what the right demanded of Kaepernick. But he knelt on the sidelines instead of standing so they cancelled him and shut him out.

Couldn't happen to nicer guys. -
It's really amazing how proud the right is of embracing cancel culture these days.

I bet you have some evidence of that, right?

Since 1988, what has Jim Brown managed to change? What kind of overall awareness has he managed to generate? Kaepernick started something that brought awareness of injustice to a huge number of people. He started something that many more athletes inside and outside the NFL were permitted or even encouraged to join in with yet he stayed a scapegoat. And no matter how much you whinge about feeling disrespected, he was actively trying to be as respectful as possible while getting his point across. Oh come on man. So you dislike Kaepernick because some other peopleassociate the anthem with he military? How tenuous can you get?
-
You think he did it for the limelight because being a top rated NFL quarterback wasn't enough fame for him? Wake up, man. And you think Kaepernick had no idea? How disrespectful can you be? Do any civil rights activists meet those criteria?

Imagine a party that has swung so far to the fringe that Brent starts looking like a moderate.

You must be really scared of the truth given that you need to flat out lie like that.

Well, put it this way, this isn’t even why they impeached him… He opened a legal defense fund and accepted $100,000 from an executivewhose company was under investigation by Paxton’s office for Medicaid fraud. An additional $50,000 was donated by an Arizona retiree whose son Paxton later hired to a high-ranking job but was soon fired after trying to make a point by displaying child pornography in a meeting.

“All the globes, everywhere” Taylor said later in the discussion. “I turn on the TV, there’s globes in the background … Everywhere there’s globes. You see them all the time, it’s constant. My children will be like ‘Mama, globe, globe, globe, globe’ — they’re everywhere.” Damn, lady. Just buy them a Nintendo and you definitely won’t have to hear about globes anymore. How bored must those kids be if a globe is the most exciting thing in their lives?

Or alternatively… not?

I love it when people try to tell Kallend how his job works. It always ends well for them

In the meantime, “Halle Bailey best thing about Little Mermaid remake” says normal reviewer who isn’t a flaming racist. https://amp.theguardian.com/film/2023/may/22/the-little-mermaid-review-ariel-disney-halle-bailey

Many countries have been successful in tackling gun crime and mass shootings. Have you changed your mind on whether those can be compared? What a great example of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Finally! The next step... US agrees to allow training and supply of F16s

If he became a VP and everyone liked him then he was probably not just a qualified candidate but an outstanding candidate from the outset. Did the company always hire from one university or just usually? Because if they made exceptions for any other outstanding people, why would you assume that wasn't the case here? Imagine how many sub-par people get hired because they're white guys. And again, why do you think the country isn't ready for a female president? What did the water cooler guys say that convinced you?
-
At least you admit that’s what you’re doing. But then why do it at all? That’s exactly the point. It isn’t the guys around the cooler standing here saying the country isn’t ready, you are here saying the country isn’t ready. It isn’t not your opinion, it absolutely is your opinion. You presented it as your opinion and just now confirmed that it was. So why is it your opinion that the country isn’t ready to elect a woman? Just because some guys around the water cooler said so? What was it they said that convinced you? What reasons did they give that you agreed with? Or do you just trust everything the water cooler guys say without a second thought?
-
And now the other bobblehead is jealous she’s getting all the attention. At least that’s the only way I can explain this. Marjorie Taylor Greene claims white supremacist label is same as N-word

Apparently he was a nice guy, so I can’t imagine why he’d have a problem? And again, you’ve literally just said that you don’t see any reason for anyone who hasn’t physically heard the voice of god to have faith in god. So in that hypothetical situation where he’s saying he didn’t know me, that’s on him.
-
Maybe she found out he’d been urinating in public. But yeah, two radical, opinionated, volatile people put together? I’m shocked that it didn’t work out. If they get through the divorce without shooting at each other they should take it as a win. Hell, ten bucks says there’s at least one bullet hole in a car or house before this is over.
-
So it’d be wrong to look at any other country like Israel, for instance, and assume you can use their solutions?

Does religion have anything that good?

Apart from all the horrendously pervy shit, the biggest bombshell is the allegation (backed up with commmunications) that Giuliani and Trump were conspiring to sell pardons for two million bucks. Really interesting bit was Giuliani telling Dunphy to send those enquiries directly to him instead of the Pardon Office in order to evade any FOIA requests regarding those dodgy pardons in future. If I remember correctly, Trump did indeed sign a bunch of pardons which were not vetted by the Pardon Office first.
