And 2) if the test is designed to simulate a worst case scenario then being able to do the job day to day won't necessarily mean that you are still able to perform on the really, really bad days.     unless you are being tongue in cheek, I think you have the logic backwards. you are stating that the test is not a good assessment because they don't repeat it for current staff IMHO - the test reads like something reasonable - the issue I'd take isn't the content of the test, I'd take issue that a good test is not done on a periodic basis I think the logic is correct, we just lack the necessary information to input to arrive at the correct answer. Are long-time NYFD firefighters dying because they or their colleagues are no longer fit enough? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    I don't think that was the premise - unless you're only allowing Amazon to argue in black or white. Any fair appraisal of tazer use should acknowledge that there is a lower threshold for its use compared to firearms, but that there is still a threshold. It should not be used indiscriminately as a first resort as if it has no consequences. Frankly the linked case is an indictment of LEO attitudes and training regarding both tazers and the mentally ill. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    She picked the flag up off the ground after others had walked all over it. Then tried to properly handle the situation, but instead, got beat up by the police. She didn't 'properly handle it' she tried to steal someone else's property, refused to give it back when asked to by the cops and then resisted arrest. She also didn't get beaten up, she was temporarily restrained then released intact and without charge. What do you think might have happened if it had been anything else she was stealing? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

And you can write down the math while you're explaining it verbally. Then, if they're any good with processes they'll soon figure out that they can get there in one step instead of two.     It wasn't lucky, it was by design. The Sherman wasn't a worse tank than the Tiger per se, it was made to do a different job. A fast, mobile infantry support unit that could almost always call in air support when it came across German heavy armour. It was also designed to be produced in massive numbers. Even given equal production facilities and materials the Germans couldn't have made anywhere near the number of Tigers and Panzers as the US could Shermans, or used them in the same roles. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    It's just deeply uninspiring. Neither party has put out a manifesto they'll keep a word of or a budget with any numbers in so you can vote for either two and you don't really have any clue what they're going to do or if they'll be any different from each other. Then the media has become so obsessed with 'balance' that they're filling half the airwaves with minority parties that, with the best will in the world, are irrelevant sideshows (I swear I've heard UKIP spokesmen being interviewed on morning Five Live more than Labour and Tory combined) and the other half they spend discussing whether the regional seperatist parties will be able to get into a coalition government and funnel all our money to wales and scotland. In short, it's all the content free cartoon politics of the USA without any of the bombast and over-hyped grandeur that makes it at all interesting. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    Yes Ron, you are an American. What you fail to understand though is Americans are not homogenous. There are many other Americans who share very, very few of your beliefs and attitudes, and their americanism and their patriotism is just as valid as yours (if not more so, if it's based on valuing people, laws and equality rather than som stars and some stripes).     So when you're confronting the WBC, a bunch of despicable individuals who are intentionally trying to cause as much emotional distress as possible to specific individuals who are already grieving the loss of their loved ones you are able to control yourself.     Except that they shouldn't, unless you think that the police should be able to make up laws as they go along. She was stealing and resisting arrest. The police did restrain her and later release her without charge. They did not body slam her, punch her, kick her, put her in a chokehold, taze her or shoot her ("accidentally" or intentionally). I don't think she has any cause to complain about her treatment. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
