Who in the working economy do you think is getting handouts - the people being paid less money than ever before working at the bottom of the chain, or the people paying less than ever before for that work and profitting more than ever before from it?     I'm pretty sure they have to be alive and human, for issues of practicality if nothing else. The rest is up for grabs though. Nix on the last one, and the second one isn't flexible as such, there are just disagreements on what it means (by people who assume it's more restrictive than it really is).     Not true. People confuse the fact that success is possible for anyone with the notion that success is possible for everyone. It isn't. At any given time in any given economy there are a finite number of opportunities available. Every single person in the job market could be motivated as fuck to grab every single chance of success and there would still be hundreds of thousands of people flipping burgers for a living. Only basic human decency. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    When I googled it I found that some Ny legislators have announced a plan to limit ammo sales to twice the capacity of the registered gun per 90 days. So theoretically someone who owned a 6 shot revolver could only buy 12 bullets in a 3 month period. I didn't see anything to indicate that it is likely to happen, though. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    I have no idea but a 1 in 64 chance of that happening but it dont smell right. It's unlikely, but that isn't evidence of crookedness. The England cricket team once lost 12 tosses in a row. That's a 1 in 4096 chance. So where's the evidence that there were any crooks involved? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    Sorry, I assumed you had read the context as well. My bad. Of course I did. Let's say we were in the Trump thread and someone said "I don't know whether Trump called all Mexicans rapists but he does beat up his Filipina maid" you don't have to deal with the question of what Trump said before you say "hang on a minute, I'm pretty sure he doesn't physically abuse the help". I assumed you'd understand that without needing it spelled out. Sorry. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    I highly doubt there were many reasonable thoughts running through his head at that point. Still, there is a difference between driving dangerously and trying to run someone over. The only thing I'm saying is what I said. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    I don't think he tried to run anyone down. He tried to dodge the roadblock but was so close when that cop jumped out in front of his car there was sod all he could to to avoid him. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    Free flying positions doesn't only mean free flying. Students are known to tumble out of control or get stuck on their backs on a semi regular basis. This does happen. Also, it's not only AFF students on their AFF levels that use student gear. Jumpers doing consols or some of their first licenced jumps before buying their own gear will use it as well, and some of these people will try and freely or do various other silly things no matter what the DZ, the BPA, the USPA or anyone else says about it. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    I can certainly see the apparent disconnect - but you can't just compare it to any young black person, you'd have to compare it to a young black person who you already know for sure was doing something illegal, was posting internet videos about an armed fight against the government and the police, and who the people he was with (not just the cops) say attacked police officers. Even then you can't say yet that the shooting was justified, but I think you can say that it was an outcome of the kind he was likely trying to provoke. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
