Yeah I thought that was uncalled for too. But it happened after you started slinging shit at everyone else and dodging any kind of discussion of the point you supposedly came here to make. But it makes sense - every now and then you get to the point where you realise your faith and your politics are completely incompatible, so you come here and start a different fight to distract yourself until it goes away again.

What is my space safe from? I actually tried to engage you on the issue you started talking about, and you couldn’t deal with it. It seems like you’re desperate to fight but equally desperate to avoid a real exchange of views. It makes sense, given the huge disparity between what your religious beliefs tell you is right and what your political loyalties demand that you support. It must be really tough, and you honestly have my sympathy.

When you lie, you can be called out for lying. That's not against the rules. You said it didn't matter if state law was too onerous since people could always hop over to California. You know that's not true, so why say it? Not a good look for someone who says he's here to convince people with truth and common sense. Neither is attacking Bill when you really should have noticed that he was standing up for you.

When have you ever tried? See like that. That’s not true. How could you go to Kalifornia if you don’t have your own transport and the law says anyone who helps you will go to prison? How could you go to Kalifornia if you’re already too sick to survive outside the hospital but not yet sick enough to categorically need an immediate abortion to avoid death? See, when you have to make things up to prove your point, it generally means common sense isn’t on your side. What is it you think they’re trying to ‘figure out’?

Individual hurricanes are incredibly difficult to predict. Milton went from a Cat 5 to a Cat 3 in less than a day before making landfall - but it easily might not have done that. Do you want politicians to prep for disasters based on best case scenarios? Frankly, it’s incredibly small minded that you’d minimise the suffering of Floridians right now just to make a partisan political dig.

Winsor and others who are annoyed the world isn’t quite as openly racist as it used to be always push the assumption that you either have DEI or hiring purely on merit. Not only is that simply impossible (if you have five applicants all with first class degrees with a relevant thesis from a top ranked university, how do you know who is definitively better?), it’s simply not how people work - and hiring is done by people. Winsor slipped once and added something like ‘and best fits into the company culture’ to the ‘most qualified’ bit of who gets hired without DEI. If the company is packed with white prep school guys then then likely another white prep school guy will fit best. So if that company ends up only ever hiring more white prep school guys as a result, that is in Winsor’s mind entirely meritorious and not remotely racist!

It'sincredible how the news keeps coming. He secretly sent Covid test kits to the Kremlin for the personal use of Vladimir Putin when there were nowehere near enough being produced for domestic use. He's spoken to Putin numerous times with no-one else listening since leaving the WH. Republican governors have shown him to be lying repeatedly about the federal hurricane response, and his own staff have reported that he did play political games with disaster relief and tried to withold help from Blue states. In conventional terms it's hard to imagine any candidate having a worse week than this. But with Trump, does it even matter?
