True - and just like Trump he had to switch to the Republican Party in order to find a constituency damn fool enough to elect him. Is that where you’re going with that? The funny thing here is it shows how dead bipartisanship is in the USA when a Democrat president can be absolutely slated from both sides for doing exactly what Republican voters asked him to do. You voted for the president and his family to be above the law. You voted for government positions and influence to be given to the president’s family for them to peddle. You voted for people committing crime on behalf of the president to be pardoned. You voted for complete political control of the justice system. And yet here, if everything you say is true, we have a Democrat President finally running the administration the exact same way you want it to be run and you’re still not happy.

Well sure, Brent really doesn’t want to talk about Syria. What’s he going to say about the fact that Trump hand picked an Assad supporter for Intelligence Director? What’s he going to say about the fact that Assad was toppled because Putin was busy having his military destroyed in Ukraine - a war that Trump is determined to let him win as soon as he can? Changing the subject is really the only option for a good little MAGA follower right now.

Hunter Biden is a long time drug addict. He’s probably done more crime that can be uncovered. Crime that, if he were a normal white collar white guy, would never be uncovered or would be treated as a slap on the wrist at best. But hey, let us know how happy you’d be if the Sheriff in your town started following you around and delving into every aspect of your life for just because he didn’t like you. Shouldn’t be any problem, right? If you’re innocent you’ve got nothing to hide.

Then it is truly shocking and corrupt that Trump has vowed to prosecute them, has nominated an FBI director who has vowed to investigate them, and an AG who will enthusiastically go along with it. You must be horrified at such blatant abuses of the power of the state being planned in the open. Go on, say that it’s shocking, authoritarian and wrong. Tell the truth for once.

It's cult-like when there's nothing the leader can do that's wrong. The republicans ut huge amounts of effort into stirring up anger over supposed pay-to-play at the Clinton Foundation (with zero direct evidence of anything actually happening), and ultimately were successful in driving large numbers of voters to Trump. His promise to be completely above the dirty world of campaign finance was a huge part of his first win. Now Elon Musk has, loudly and openly, paid his way into Trump's inner circle and been rewarded with a position that will give him huge influence over government spending on his and his competitor's companies and the supporters say it's exactly what they always wanted Trump to do.

Remember when the best thing about Trump was that his government wouldn't be beholden to rich campaign donors? Now the best thing about Trump is that his government will be run by rich campaign donors! It really all makes sense if you just look at it sideways and squint a bit. Not like a cult at all.
